Replication between Samba DCs (on different sites)?
Hi! Should replication between two Samba DCs Just Work after joining a second DC to the domain? We always were running a single DC (historically it was just a single server anyway), now I've added another DC, located in a remove office, but there's no replication of any kind. Should it be configured somehow? The initial data seems to be copied fine at the time of domain join, but no

Samba domain time sync woes (Debian Bookworm)
FWIW, I looked at the settings in our domain (all of which I did myself). I used to explicitly set up ntp time sources in our network for all windows workstations before, and I continued to provide these after conversion from nt4-style domain to samba AD-DC. The NTP records are provided by DHCP, and are configured in the GPO, both with regional differences (choosing the local NTP servers within

In fact - I can't use raw binaries from the ovirt repo itself, because these qemu-kvm binaries contains one bug, which is already fixed in Debian: If you want to migrate Windows from hardware node to VM using CentOS 7.1 on hardware node and

Hello. What's the difference between linux.c32 module and loading linux kernel directly by {sys, pxe, iso}linux? Is there any advantage of using linux.c32 over the built-in method? Thanks! /mjt

crash in extlinux/main
Hi, I found a bug in extlinux/main.c. Writing a bootloader on a file mounted via /dev/mapper in Lunix it crashed on me with a segment fault. The bug is here: if (!ioctl(devfd, HDIO_GETGEO, &geo)) { Since we are already called with geo as a pointer the & is wrong as the pointer itself will be overwritten. This works: int get_geometry(int devfd, uint64_t totalbytes, struct
