Mongrel::HttpHandlerPlugin
Hi, I''m trying to write a file upload monitor for mongrel that uses juggernaut to alert the browser of a change. I''m writing a plugin that uses Mongrel::HttpHandlerPlugin but it looks like the only method that gets called is process and that is only when the upload has finished. I''m setting the following: @request_notify = true But I am still only getting process to

Mongrel 0.3.13.3 -- Ruby Licensed Release
Hello Everyone, This is the official 0.3.13.3 release of Mongrel. Mongrel is now released under the *Ruby license* instead of the LGPL. I''m hoping this increases the adoption of Mongrel even further and hopefully I can start pushing to get Mongrel included in Ruby directly. INSTALL As usual, you install it with your friendly gem install method of choice: gem install mongrel Or

Win32 Gem Dependencies
Yeah I just noticed that the latest mongrel gem for win32 doesn''t have the proper dependency for ''daemons''. This of course causes the require to fail. Any chance at getting this fixed for future gems? :) Thanks Josh Ferguson

rjs problems
Hi, I am having trouble with rjs templates. Basically I want the item_div to fade if its already open and then display the new item that the user selected with the visual effect: appear. The code below causes the browser (firefox on osx) to open the div and then close it again as soon as it is open: page.visual_effect :fade, ''item_div'', :duration => 0.5 page.replace_html

Broken installation of mongrel 0.3.13.4 on Sun OS 5.9
Hi, Anyone succeeded in installing Mongrel on Sun Solaris? It looks like the installation is broken. I have started using Mongrel recently and not sure where to look when something is missing. First the file http11.so was not installed in /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/mongrel-0.3.13.4/lib I''ve resolved that and when tried to start mongrel from the command line I received the

Mongrel can''t handle some URLs that IE6 sends
IE6 happily sends unsafe* characters unencoded if you''ve typed them into the URL bar of your IE6 window. This could happen if you copy & paste a URL from an email or web page. Mongrel doesn''t seem to handle these properly. In 0.3.13.3 it would print out something like: Sun Oct 15 23:05:38 CST 2006: BAD CLIENT (192.168.1.2): Invalid HTTP format, parsing fails. 0.3.13.5

Setup with Apache 2.2 proxy balancer : timeout during uploads
Hi all, I encounter timeout errors during file uploads in my Rails application. I think the problem may be in the Mongrel configuration. Getting Started without Rails
Hi, everyone. I am in the process of learning Ruby. I''ve concluded that there are couple of quirks with mod_ruby that are limiting me a fair bit, so I''m looking for an alternative. From what I''ve read, Mongrel is The Answer. However, this has left me with a few questions. I''m looking for some help getting a non-rails Mongrel started... I can''t

memory issues -- mongrel part of the problem?
Hi. I''m a fairly new mongrel user and have a scenario that I wanted to run by you all, see if anyone''s synapses connect -- mine def. aren''t! I''m running a fairly simple rails app through a mongrel cluster (2 mongrels). This site is consistently sloooow -- memory on the server is regularly paging (and shouldn''t be). ssh-ing in and running top shows

script/server vs mongrel_rails start issue
I am having different results between when I start mongrel with script/ server and with mongrel_rails start. When I run script/server to boot mongrel everything runs fine, no errors. When I run mongrel_rails start I get the following errors - verified the problem on a fresh app and on two different environments (mac and yes, windows server 2008).
