Port forward and redirect
Hello, I have a server to which is defined with static nat in Shorewall, and on that server, I''m running a http on a non-standard port (lets say, port 1234). I would like to use on of my free IP addresses, and map port 80 on the public side to port 1234 on the private side (forget about binding my services on a separate IP on the server, if it was feasible, I would have done that).

PXE boot Centos 4.0beta problems
Has anyone yet tried PXE booting the vmlinuz/initrd.img set from Centos 4.0beta2? I have a pxelinux setup that is booting 3.4 PXE images fine, but the equivalent setup for 4.0beta loads the kernel and then splashes the monitor full of multicolor random characters. Not a good start to an install... Anyone had luck? Any changes for PXE boots known for 4.0? Thanks in advance. -Alan

apt.llvm.org has the wrong binaries/headers for llvm-toolchain-xenial-7
It appears that there was an out-of-band patch from Samuel Thibault: https://salsa.debian.org/pkg-llvm-team/llvm-toolchain/blob/7/debian/patches/D54378-hurd-triple.diff Although the patch was approved here https://reviews.llvm.org/D54378 Is this patch going to land in 7.0.1 or 8? kristopher > Here's further proof: > > wget >

Switching to Google Groups tomorrow night
Hi all, Is everyone switched over to the Google lists? I''m basically ready for the switch, I think, and doing so would be one more closed loop for me. I notice we''ve only got a bit over 300 subscribers to the Puppet Users list, while my madstop list has nearly 600. This is a bit depressing, but it probably represents a better idea of who''s actually using the

Hello centos community, I have a personal repository with self-made RPMs, and i need to include this repository to yum.conf. But i've noticed that yum configuration is overwritten when yum is updated. I can't update yum.conf manually on my servers each time yum is updated ... Is anyone have an idea ? Thank you. -- Martin

When adding a trend line to a scatterplot (e.g. abline (90,4,col="red"), I believe the "90" is the intercept and "4" is the slope. How do I determine the intercept and slope for the abline command? Wine language problems
Dear Wine Team, I believe that I got the correct e-mail adress, however, if I don't, please redirect me. Anyway, I have a problem with wine that I'm wondering if there is a fix to. everytime I try to run a program under it, it comes up with a funny language, kind of like a Arabic font. I'm not sure how to correct this. This happens even when I try to open the control panel for

centos-yumconf purpose
Hello. I did try to find out some information about centos-yumconf, but I didn't find any. I would like to know what centos-yumconf rpm is made for and what it does (just overwrite the yum.conf file, or copy things from the original and create a new one ?). I dont' really understand the necessity of this package, because I thought that the version upgrade was made through the $releasever

adduser ?
I installed CentOS 3.3 some time ago and the first thing I did after the install was to run a little script that adds my user plus a few other things. The script adds my user like this USER="ulrik" PASSWD="<mypasswd>" /usr/sbin/adduser $USER -p $PASSWD It seemed to work fine except I couldn't login? I searched Google for reasons why I could only login via ssh as

Apache
Okay, I'm curious. I just installed CentOS 3.3 and did an update with YUM. I want to run Apache so I first checked to see if it's installed with rpm -q apache. Nada. Yet, in /etc/rc.d/rc3.d I see K15httpd. So I moved that to S15httpd and started it up. It's up. Goto the default page and it's running. So....if it's not showing up in rpm queries, how is/was it installed? --
