some ports not stealthed?
I''ve installed this fine software on my home network and am very pleased
with the ease of installation and especially the documentation.
My firewall box masq''s a private net via dialup modem. Configuration is
almost exactly as described in the two-interface example.
My question regards the result of a "internet test scan" that I found
via google search...when I run

Bad FXS Module?
I apparently have a dead FXS module. Is there any kind of test I can
run on it (on a live system) to determine if its good or bad? The
telephone has no dialtone, gets no calls. It has been working for
several months, and just quit yesterday. Thanks!

Small updates and release plan
Hello Guys,
I''ll like to suggest a small release fix before we start doing big
changes: platform fixes.
Current we''re setting MSWIN32 (mswin32) as platform for Windows gem,
but we should be using Gem::Platform::CURRENT instead (i386-mswin32 as
current Ruby windows implementation).
Also, the jruby/java platform need to be defined. That change will
ease the compatibility path

load balancers and mongrel
We have a load balancer sending requests to one of X boxes and one of
N mongrel processes on that box.
Since each mongrel processes is multi-threaded but it has a mutex
around the section that calls rails, we end up with several requests
queued up waiting when they could have gone to another box with a
free process.
For example, boxA, and boxB.
boxA has mongrels 1 through 10
boxB has

ogg123 oss plugin plays garbage
I tried to use the current cvs version of ogg123 with oss output and the
ogg just sounds like static. I wanted to document it on the list in case
anyone else is having the problem. I can make ogg123 write wav files fine.
Also Vakor does not have any trouble playing oggs with ogg123, so I am not
certain what the problem is. I have tried compiling all of ogg vorbis

accessing log likelihood of poison model
Could someone tell me how to access the log likelihood
of a poisson model? I've done the following....
<BEGIN R STUFF>
freq.mod <- glm(formula = nfix ~ gls.gls + pol.gls + pol.rel + rac.gls +
rac.pol + rac.rac + rac.rel + white + gls.gls.w + pol.gls.w + pol.rel.w
+ rac.gls.w + rac.pol.w + rac.rac.w + rac.rac.w + rac.rel.w, family =
poisson, data = Complex2.freq, offset = lnoffset)

George Bush
can I put these in quotes "Dick Cheney" and "George Bush" to get them to
read into R using both read.table and read.zoo to recognize this.
thanks

[LLVMdev] Casting and intrinsic function calls
Hello,
I am attempting to use llvm casting and intrinsic functions to do basic operations on Value pointers. I have read the online documentation and relevant portions of the source code and wrote the following code to do a Float to Double cast and then a log operation-
Value *castFP(Value *i, Type *ty) const { return b->CreateFPCast(i, ty, n); } \\b is an IRBuilder and TheModule is an

Installing 32-bit CentOS 6 on a new Lenovo System x3650 M5 server?
Is there any known incompatibility with the latest 32-bit (i386) CentOS 6 and the latest Lenovo x3650 M5 servers? I?ve been running i386 CentOS 6.X on 3 year old x3650 M4 servers without any issues. Our development environment has not been ported to 64-bit (x86_64) yet, so we are stuck using i386 for another few months. When I try to boot from the netinstall ISO image I just get a ?Boot Failed?

FXS, Power and Sangoma
Hi
I've a Sangoma A200D with 2FXO and 2FXS. When using it with only
the FXO module, it's all good. But when I put in the FXS module and
connect the power, logs tells me not enough power.

NUT LynxOS port
Hi,
This patch includes port of NUT to LynxOS 4.0. The patch is against
yesterday's svn tree. Here is a brief description of changes:
drivers/powercom.c:
Rename shutdown() to shutdown2(). shutdown() is already defined
in LynxOS system header files. Please feel free to rename it more
appropriately. (I didn't do it due to lack of imagination :-) )

random cpu spikes, EBADF errors
In May I had problem with mongrels suddenly consuming huge cpu resources for
a minute or two and then returning to normal (load average spikes up
to 3.8and then back down to a regular
0.2 over the course of 5 minutes, then again 1/2 hour later. or 4 hours
later, no predictable rhythm).
I posted to Litespeed forums because I thought the problem was there but
didn''t get far. And a week

Winbind: disable UDP/137 broadcasts
I have a samba winbind server which is operating properly. I have the
firewall configured to DROP outbound traffic on UDP/137 and 139. The broadcast
traffic on these ports will not reach any pertinent machines due to subnetting,
and is unwanted traffic.
The server is working without this traffic hitting the network.
However, Winbindd is constantly trying to broadcast and logging that it
