Routing question
I''m asking this question for the sysadmin where I work.
Will Shorewall do this?
Joe,
I am looking for a linux router that will look at the source IP (not the
destination) and then forward the packet out a specific interface to another
host. For example if a packet comes in to the linux router from NET-A it
will forward the packet out INTERFACE-A to HOST-A. If a packet comes in

New Webmin 1.060 comes with Shorewall module
I just updated my webmin on my server and noticed that the module for
Shorewall looked different. It looks like someone really cleaned it up
and had it added to the Standard Webmin Module list. Woohoo.

Traceroute
How do I allow traceroute to reach my server? Pings work fine but
traceroute stops at the last hop before my server. If I shut off the
firewall it reaches it fine.

Shorewall 4.4.27 Beta 1
Beta 1 is now available for testing.
One of the problems I''ve had with the Shorewall products is trying to keep them all in sync. There have been two copies of each shell library and four CLI programs.
To simplify maintenance, I have collapsed each of the library pairs into a single library and have reduced the number of CLI programs from four to two (one for the

Samba and AD: Still problem with conection
Hi,
I have still problem with samba and AD. And I still know nothing :(
Sometimes it works OK, but seldom. Generaly it can't get users from AD.
System boots and wbinfo says that there is no users or that there is only 10
users (in AD I have about 1100).
I think that this is problem with timeout, because sometimes it works OK.
Sometimes linux reboot helps...
And simetimes my dhcp on

Re: Re: XAPI on debian - sr-create issue
You''re right scout the last line. Out looks like xapi is waiting on tapdisk to plug a key into xenstore. Perhaps a udev rule problem? Perhaps someone who knows more about tapdisk than I well be able to diagnose this tomorrow.

I have ran into an issue with the upsmon tool leaking memory over a

2 Asterisks to one PBX - E1 conection
Hi all,
I have a question regarding connection of two Asterisk servers to our PBX. Each Asterisk server has one PCI E1 card, and they are in failover mode with Linux HA. On our PBX we have only one E1 card towards Asterisk servers.
My question is how to connect these two Asterisks to one E1 card on PBX, and when primary Asterisk server fails not to have to manually pull out E1 cable from primary
