Shorewall upgrade problem
Hi to all. I previously have a working shorewall setup running under Fedora Core 3 with shorewall version 2.0.13-1 and iptables version 1.2. I simply performed an rpm -Uvh and after that I tried starting shorewall and its giving me a "cant find iptables executable". I thought I need to upgrade iptables so I upgraded to version 1.3.0 but shorewall still has the same error. I already check

OT: Bind-9.2.2-22 RPMS with "delegate-only" patch
I have produced RedHat 9.2.2-22 RPMS that include the ISC "delegate-only" patch that helps thwart Verisign''s wildcard .com and .net hijacking. These RPMs seem to run fine on RH9 (I''ve been running them since yesterday on ns1.shorewall.net). ftp://shorewall.net/pub/misc/ -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ Shorewall - iptables made easy Shoreline, \ http://shorewall.net

Asterisk RPMS for RH9 + RH7.3
Hello all, It's my birthday today, so as my present I would like everyone possible to download and test my updated set of RPMS for Asterisk 0.7.1. By popular request, I installed and built a set of RPMS for RedHat 9.0, and in the process fixed a bunch of issues from the initial build. I have also updated and will be maintaining a page on the Asterisk Wiki located at:

rpmnew puzzles
I'm puzzled by such statements as diff /var/clamav/daily.cvd /var/clamav/daily.cvd.rpmnew Binary files /var/clamav/daily.cvd and /var/clamav/daily.cvd.rpmnew differ I thought the point of rpmnew files was so that we could check what has been changed? rpm dependencies
I have successfully created a packaged version of openssh that has the LPK patch. LPK allows you to store your public keys in LDAP. However when I go to install the package I created it complains about dependencies: [root at VIRTCENT13:/home/bluethundr/rpm]#rpm -Uvh openssh-5.6p1-1.i386.rpm error: Failed dependencies: openssh = 5.5p1-1.el5 is needed by (installed)

ca-bundle questions
Sometime in Feb, yum updated something to do with ca-bundle. I didn't notice at the time, but it put these two files on my machine: /etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-bundle.trust.crt.rpmnew and /etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-bundle.crt.rpmnew Both of those on the existing system are symbolic links ca-bundle.trust.crt -> /etc/pki/ca-trust/extracted/openssl/ca-bundle-trust.crt and ca-bundle.crt ->

SSH RPM for Red Hat 6.2 not useable
Hello, I downloaded yesterday the Red Hat 6.2 RPMs for openssl and openssh from one of the official mirrors. I could install them on a stock Red Hat 6.2 box because rpm -Uvh says (quoting from memory...): cannot install because there is dependency conflict between this rpm (openssh core) and the version of rpm and rpmlib that you are using...... In other words, the rpm packages generated

system-auth.rpmnew
The upgrade to 5.2 creates /etc/pam.d/system-auth.rpmnew. I see that /etc/pam.d/system-auth actually is a symlink to system-auth-ac. Is it recommended to replace that symlink with the rpmnew file? Problems with new logic being 'n' option to Queue in 1.4.9
I am experiencing a change in behaviour of my Queues in 1.4.9 vs 1.4.8. I do not pass the 'n' option to any call to Queue() in my dialplan. Yet since I upgraded to 1.4.9, I have occasionally seen this on my console: -- Nobody picked up in 20000 ms -- Exiting on time-out cycle That log message "Exiting on time-out cycle" is exclusive to the logic in app_queue meant to

I'm trying to get the 2.2.6-1 src rpm for RH 7.x from samba.org compiled on RH 8.0. I built it as root with this command rpmbuild --rebuild --target i686 samba-2.2.6-1.src.rpm.
