Hi to all. I previously have a working shorewall setup running under Fedora Core 3 with shorewall version 2.0.13-1 and iptables version 1.2. I simply performed an rpm -Uvh and after that I tried starting shorewall and its giving me a "cant find iptables executable". I thought I need to upgrade iptables so I upgraded to version 1.3.0 but shorewall still has the same error. I already check out the FAQ, release notes etc but cant find any solution. Think the shorewall.conf was changed a bit between releases, your shorewall.conf file would be the one with the 2.0.13 config, and as a good install should not do is overwrite the old file. The current version looks to the shorewall.conf file for a path and the old one has the path coded in the firewall file. The newer shorewall.conf file would of been saved as shorewall.config.rpmnew. Move your old shorewall.conf, move the shorewall.conf.rpmnew one to shorewall.conf and then edit to suit your taste. Jerry Vonau

You have the which rpm installed? If not, do a "locate iptables" and use that path in the config file. Jerry Vonau
