shellinabox
hi guys, shellinabox, do you use it? I in pretty vanilla setup get selinux denials and cannot login. Selinux says: #============= unconfined_service_t ============== #!!!! The file '/usr/bin/bash' is mislabeled on your system. #!!!! Fix with $ restorecon -R -v /usr/bin/bash allow unconfined_service_t unconfined_t:process transition; but that does not seem right to me, to allow such a

Lattice help: Dotplot
With Dotplot, I'm trying to make a figure that will ultimately have the same x-axis (which will be my response variable and the error bars), but the y-axis will consist of a different label for every point. Postgresql 8.1.x on CentOS 3.6
Hello everyone, Does anyone know if there are any Postgresql 8.1.3 RPMs for CentOS 3.6? I've looked at the Postgresql website but I couldn't find anything under RHEL3/CentOS3. I've tried installing the RHEL4 RPMs which seem to work. Unfortunately, I'm getting errors whenever I try to compile PHP5 from source. Thanks and Best Regards, Matt -- Stand before it and there is no

Re: CentOS 3.4 Single CD "Server" version
Hey, Lance mentioned yum group install. This yum group capability makes the "server" CD's more versatile than the name implies -- you only need a broadband connection to get any kind of CentOS install you want. Start with a minimal install off the CD, and then use the yum group install to conveniently get the same install you could get off the 3 CD set (only more up to date).

CentOS-5.1 x86_64 cd isos refresh
Earlier today we found an issue with the CentOS-5.1 x86_64 CD iso set, distributed via direct download, wherein CD-2 was not passing tests, to rectify the issue we have refreshed the images on all mirrors. The changes have now propagated through the mirror network. md5sum and sha1sum's published have also been updated to reflect this change. x86_64 CD isos distributed via bittorrent are not

build7 isos dont fit on a normal 650M CD-R
The build7 isos (at least disk1 and disk2) dont fit on a normal 650M CD-R. There was a silent update of the isos on the 28th of february which inlcuded moving some development packages from disk3 to disk1 and disk2. What is the rationale behind this reorganization? How does this affect the installation? BTW moving kernel-unsupported and kernel-source to disk1 would also be something to consider

Need the CentOS 4.3 i386 ISO
Hi all, I'm trying to rebuild a pretty old server. For this, I need a copy of the CentOS 4.3 i386 DVD ISO, ideally. The torrent on the CentOS vault is not working... Does anyone have a copy of: CentOS-4.3-i386-binDVD.iso (md5sum: ca5ccf17951f4b4ef0460c7847e0f2ac) Kicking around? I'd be much obliged if I could get a copy. :) -- Digimer E-Mail: digimer at

"homes" vs "home"
When enabling user homes (via the [homes] section), I see the following shares: \\server\<username<http://>> \\server\homes<http://> Both of which point to the user directory. Is it possible to have a third: \\server\home<http://> Which does the same? \\server\homes<http://> is great and all, but I feel that the plural is a bit of a mislabel. Shak

RHEL3 --> CentOS3 HP proliant 380
Hi, I've got a HP 380 G2 which is running RHEL AS 3 Taroon update 1. The current smp kernel 2.4.21-9smp is booting with a HPinitrd image. Mostlikely generated with the HP proliant Service Pack for RHEL 3. Now if I migrate this system to CentOS 3 and a new kernel will be installed ,will that work ? Does the new centOS kernel use the same config as the current RHEL kernel ? Anyone done this

Bugzilla 3.6.2 + sendmail + SELinux
Hello, I have deployed Bugzilla 3.6.2 on CentOS 5 (with rpmforge perl-* packages) and I have a problem with SELinux preventing mail being sent via sendmail. (see SELinux reports below, especially the second one) When SELinux is in permissive mode, mail sending from Bugzilla is working properly. Has anybody got recent Bugzilla to work with SELinux on CentOS? Thanks in advance! Mathieu
