I have read every FAQ and documentation from shorewall.net before asking
question here, hope someone can help me !
Try many things DNAT, netmasq, proxy arp, it doesn''t work.
LAN and PRIVATE network can''t see each other, i can''t ping PRIVATE LAN from

I first think of routing error, but i can''t

routing pb? ping not "emerging"
Hi all,
i''m puzzled by a ploblem and I don''t know how to debug it...
I have a firewall with 2 gateways, adsl and isdn. Main gateway is via
adsl, backup via isdn. I setup 2 table ''adsl'' and ''isdn''. You can find a
description below.
I made a script to test both tables. That mainly

Recompile
Looked at several posts and the installtions docs and still not clear.?
If I compile source codes and then somewhere down the line add
a new package, then I have to recompile my entire installation,
correct?? Seems like this is the sentiment of the emails I read.

Access to OpenBLAS
My IT people have set up a Kubuntu box with an RWkard front
end.? I have OpenBLAS set up as a shared BLAS but I'm not
sure how to get R to see it.? A.3.1 of the installation docs talks
about it but I'm not clear if I need a option on my startup line or
if I need to find a config file.? The BLAS is is in:
?
/usr/lib/openblas-base
?
on my machine. Recommendations?

package installtion
I'm getting the following error in a script: "Error: could not find function "lmer."??? I'm wondering of my lme4 package is installed incorrectly.? Can someone tell me the installation procedure?? I looked at the support docs but couldn't translate that into anything that would work.

R/parallel
?I want to take advantage of my multicore CPU to speed up a loop in a simulation program.? I didn?t write the code,
but the iterations appear independent to me, at least in the sense that the results of one loop do not depend on
previous ones.? Right now I?m relegated to a Windows box that runs Windows 7.? These appear to be the options:
?
Pnmath-appears to parallelize non-BLAS routine but

BLAS
I'm setting up an Ubuntu?virtual machine?that will use 4-Intel Xeon CPU x5650.?
I'd like to compile R with a BLAS but the question is whcih one.? Seems
like the only free ones are GotoBLAS which I'm not sure is being maintained
for newer CPUs and OpenBLAS for Loongson CPUs.? I saw a favorable report

Apt-get
I have a box set up with Kubuntu as the OS.? I didn't perform
the R install but was told the version of R available via the
apt-get command was 2.13.1.? Is there any way to get 2.14.0
in that same manner?

Secure apt
I am trying to add Michael Rutter's ppa to my
repository.? I cannot do this from the command
line.? I think I may be behind a firewall so copying
the key to a text file is my best option.? When I
search for the key at
http://keyserver.ubuntu.com:11371/
the search fails. Tried typing and
cutting and pasting E084DAB9 into
the search box without success. How
can I get the key?

documentation is a bit cryptic so I'd appreciate some help.

I know this is a strategy for large numbers of variables but consider a simple

simulation
I'm using an R program (which I did not write) to simulate multilevel data
(subjects in locations) used in power calculations. It uses lmer to fit a
mixed logistic model to the simulated data based on inputs of means,
variances, slopes and proportions:
?
(fitmodel <- lmer(modelformula,data,family=binomial(link=logit),nAGQ=1))
where modelformula is set up in another part of the program.?

externip/localnet
Hi All,
Is it possible to specify more than 1 localnet? I know this is an odd
question. I have a customer that has multiple sites linked by VPN.
Main range is 192.168.33.0/24 and a remote site is 10.1.1.0/24
We want to allow some access to the public IP address at the main site. For
this to work I need to use the externip and localnet directive. If I do this
it rewrites the SDP with the
