[RFC] Using D3 in LNT?
Hi, I've been working on further improving the perf profile view in LNT that James added recently. I've got a series of patches ready that reconstruct the control flow graph from the perf profiles, which helps a lot in quickly finding the codegen differences that cause performance deltas. I've used the D3 javascript library (https://d3js.org/) to implement the visualization. My

Safe and stable??
Have been running Samba 2.0.6 on a RH6.1 box kernel 2.2.14 for two months now. It is the PDC and storage for documents. It is running on a 10Mb/s local network with 4 Win98 machines. So far there have been no glitches - I have kept to the defaults (just about). I am now thinking of moving a 'mission critical' shared database (currently on one of the Win98 machines) onto the share on

Agile Web Development - 2nd Edition -- Iteration D3 problem
hi, This is regarding the "Depot Application". Section 9.3, Iteration D3 -- Highlighting Changes. I''ve followed this exactly according to the PDF, but it doesn''t work. The Ajax cart works, the blind_up and blind_down works. But couldn''t get the highlighting of the current item to work. Tested in Opera 9, FireFox 1.5 and IE 6 -- no luck !! I even

[PATCH] nouveau: Fix crash after D3
In 3.7-rc4, when starting X with the integrated GPU and suspending the discrete GPU, after one or more 32-bit applications are used (eg Skype) and X is stopped, we hit a panic. Prevent this by testing if the fini function is valid. Full panic bootlog is at: http://quora.org/2012/nouveau/dmesg-crash.txt Xorg.log is at: http://quora.org/2012/nouveau/Xorg.0.log-crash.txt Kernel log after fix is at:

Mike Meyers A+ CD with wine
I am trying to use Mike Meyers A+ CD that came with his new book on the 701 and 702 exams but I'm pretty new to wine and not sure about the configuration settings that may be blocking me from properly running the application. I am getting an OLE error as well as an error regarding the executable velocity.exe file. I am not sure how to properly troubleshoot the app and I am currently browsing

mike.exe - It used to work.
mike.exe is Counting at Bridge by Mike Lawerence. It used to work as installed by Windows in a Windows partition and started with wine version 0.0.20050310-1.2 as installed from the debian package on a Sarge box with a 2.6.11 kernel. (It wasn't perfect. The card symbols were odd characters but the program ran with no difficulties.) I switched to debian testing with a 2.6.15

How to specify /var/spool/mail/m/i/mike
I was wondering if somebody could tell me how I can tell dovecot (IMAP) to read users' mail boxes at /var/spool/mail/{1st char}/{2nd char}/username . For example: Mailbox for user 'mike' would be located at /var/spool/mail/m/i/mike 'karen' would be at /var/spool/mail/k/a/karen etc... Is this possible is version 1.1.6? Please advise. Thanks JB

RE: Back to 3.0.1, Winbind and Solaris 9 (Mike Dorofe ev )
Hi Mike, Thanks for replying! I have tried that but I still have the same problem. I think that PAM is doing its job, I've set up logging so that everything in pam.conf logs to /var/log/pamlog. In pamlog I see "user 'ganguly' granted access". There is something else that is stopping this working, I just can't see what it is. Any ideas? -----Original Message-----

New Sipura-841 phone.Mike volume problem.
Well I just need to say I got my phone last week. Here is my quick review of the phone and hope that someone has a possible fix for it or I will be sending it back. First the phone is nice looking in my view and it's heavy so it feels like a real desk phone. But it has these stick, gummy or I really don't know how to describe the bottoms on the phone. There good size but when you press

WAV header (hey Mike)
So, I saw a form of wav header I didn;t know about today. It's not in my (admittedly aging) copy of the RIFF spec from M$, but it's pretty clear how to handle it (mostly in the context of OggEnc). Here's a dump with od -c: 0000000 R I F F 370 357 l 002 W A V E f m t 0000020 020 \0 \0 \0 001 \0 002 \0 D 254 \0 \0 020 261 002 \0 0000040 004 \0

Be aware of callcheap.com and Mike Low - It is scam
Hi everybody, Recently I was ripped off by this company named Callcheap Networks Inc, and so did one of the carriers I recommended to them. Now I am perusing legal action against them, a mess in which I never wanted to get into. Based on my bad experience, I wanted to let everybody know if this guy named Mike Low from Call Cheap Networks Inc. (callcheap.com) contacts you, please be careful. If

R graphs from database
Browsing the web recently, I came across what I think is a new utility for generating an interactive, web-based R graph of data from a database. The generated graph can be manipulated by a user to choose different data, limits, etc. I would like to investigate using this with data from our research project but unfortunately, I didn't bookmark it and it's no longer in my browser history,
