problem submitting R bug; bug plotting in tiling window manager
Unfortunately, the spammers in question appear to be human (of sorts).
We're not sure what they're up to, but a common pattern is to post random text, or something copied from a generic bug report (like "able to add 6 item"), later followed by a comment containing a link or a file attachment.
Presumably, it is some sort of click-bait scheme, but it could also be a covert

In case you still care, see
https://bugs.r-project.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=16726
which even our very human spam detector hasn't decided to label as spam (yet).

No problem.
Another suggestion would be to simply validate user input like most
websites, and reject invalid submissions immediately, rather than
blocking the user's account. I don't know what kind of spambots you
are up against, but unless they are very intelligent I doubt they'll
be able to understand a message like "You submitted a bug with no body
text, please enter something

Ah, thank you for that explanation. I somehow didn't catch that my
Bugzilla account had been disabled by a human.
"Common pattern is to post ... something copied from a generic bug
report" - that sounds very annoying.

You posted a bug report, but it had no content other than "til". That's
what many abusers of the system have done, so you were blocked.
I have read the first line of your bug report, and it says " I'm not
sure if this is a bug with i3 or R ". If you're not sure if it's a bug
or not, then please post to R-devel. That's a moderated list so if this

HOWTO: Temporary dynamic blocking with Shorewall and Portsentry
Hi, all:
This is just a note and suggestion, not a question; but I really like this
system and thought it might be useful to others so I decided to share. Hope
it helps someone, and comments or suggestions are always welcome.
1. Overview: Shorewall accepts traffic on ports that I consider
"hostile" (i.e. ports on which I would NEVER expect to see connections) and
redirects

Tiling elements
Hi,
Is there anything available to enable tiling elements with prototype?
I have an application that allows a number of divs to be opened and
overlapping at the same time, and would like the have a Tile Panels
button that would arrange the divs on screen without any overlaps. At
first I thought it would be a simple function, but can see if I want
the tiling to be smart it could take a bit of

e-sword under a tiling WM
I've been using pytyle, but it seems this condition is common to most tiling wms. Basically, some wine apps get handled (opensong and 'i wanna be the guy' are the ones that do on my system), but some don't, e-sword being one that doesn't.
pytyle does automatic tiling, fitting the windows in a defined pattern on the screen. It just does not see e-sword, somehow, but has no

[PATCH xf86-video-nouveau] nv4/exa: tiling is unsupported pre-nv10, reduce alignment requirements
Commit 8c8f15c9d3 added increased pitch alignment requirements to handle
nv10-nv40 tiling (which must have a small number * PoT pitch). While
NV4/NV5 do have tiling, this was never supported in nouveau.
This change enables 1920x1200 resolutions since the maximum surface
pitch has to be strictly less than 8192. The current logic will align
1920*4 up to 8192 unnecessarily.

[PATCH] drm/nouveau/nv50: use correct tiling methods for m2mf buffer moves
Currently used only on original nv50, nvaa and nvac.

Note: it would be catched much faster (probably even by author, and not after
2 years) if this code would use (known!) register names...

[GSoC 2016] [Polly] Implementation of tiling, interchanging and unrolling of specific loops based on the algorithm for the analytical modeling
Hi Tobias,
I think that we could split a patch that contains an implementation of
tiling, interchanging and unrolling of specific loops into three
separate patches:
1. The first one adds a class that describes a processor model. It
also adds a new command line parameter that contains all necessary
parameters of a target architecture, which are used to construct
objects of the class.
2. The

Frequent RRL false negatives when using multiple server processes on Linux
Hi,
Please advise how to use Response Rate Limiting on a server which has
multiple NSD server processes (nsd.conf server section has server-count
> 1).
We have a problem with NSD v3.2.16 repeatedly unblocking and blocking
again a single source which is flooding positive queries at a ~steady
700 qps rate. rrl-ratelimit setting is the default 200 qps. The
unblock-block happens multiple times

Dovecot-auth relicensing to BSD/MIT
Bcc'd to everyone who have sent me patches to dovecot-auth or related
code.
Once in a while people ask me if Dovecot's authentication server code
could be relicensed to BSD so they could use it for their project.
Usually they have been other BSD-licensed open source projects which
just prefer not to use LGPL code.
Now there's again this company asking me to give them a bit less

[PATCH 1/2] exa: Pre-G80 tiling support.
For now pixmaps will only be tiled if driver pixmaps are being used
and we're told to with the NOUVEAU_CREATE_PIXMAP_TILED usage hint.

Bug#686199: unblock: xen-api/1.3.2-11

Severity: normal

Hi,
Please unblock package xen-api.
The PAM fix which we did for version 1.3.2-10 wasn't correct, and thanks to
the help of Steve Langasek, we have it in a good shape now.
