Looking for a VoIP solution...
Hello all!
Please forgive me if I am asking stupid questions, I am new to implementing
VoIP as PBX.
I am currently employed at a Tifton, GA-based peanut shelling facility and I
am looking for a VoIP system to tie our 2 locations together.
The plant and the main office were originally separate, so each has their
own (different) phone system.
Each side has 4 incoming analog lines and about a dozen

Matrix subscripting to wrap around from end to start of row
Perhaps it is just that I don't even know the correct term to search for,
but I can find nothing that explains how to wrap around from the end to a
start of a row in a matrix.
For example, you have a matrix of 2 years of data, where rows are years, and
columns are months.
month.data = matrix(c(3,4,6,8,12,90,5,14,22, 8), nrow = 2, ncol=5)
I would like to take the average of months 5:1 for

Creating histograms from factors using a for loop
# I have a dataframe with data and factors similar to the following:
a <- rep(c("a", "b"), c(6,6))
df <- data.frame(f=a, d=rnorm(12))
df
# I am trying to write a 'for' loop which will produce a jpeg histogram
for each factor. I can individually isolate the data from a factor and
produce a jpeg histogram like so:
fnc <- function(x){

Counting observations of a combined factor
#I have a dataset with two factor. I want to combine those factors into
a single factor and count the number of data values for each new factor.
The following gives a comparable dataframe:
a <- rep(c("a", "b"), c(6,6))
b <- rep(c("c", "d"), c(6,6))
df <- data.frame(f1=a, f2=b, d=rnorm(12))
df
# I use the 'interaction' function to combine

Is rl broken?
Greetings,
I cvsup'd and rebuilt a FreeBSD 4.8 system last Friday after receiving the
realpath security advisory. The machine is remote and the NIC uses the rl
driver. After booting the machine I had no network connectivity. The
person at the remote site says the boot was normal and he could see that the
NIC was properly configured but he could not ping it and I could not login.
We booted

Estimating variance components of groups of covariates within regression model
I am interested in estimating the variance components from different groups of
variables in a linear regression.
For example, I want to model dependent variable ?Y? based on six covariates as
follows: (these are land use types measured at three scales for each Y,
"Local", "Riparian", and "Catchment" - these are not nested as there is a
unique area for each Y -

Randomized-complete blocks design and R
Hi,
I am new in R.I am trying to analysis of variance for Randomized-complete
blocks design. I have 4 treatments and 3 replication,
Without intraction.then .I is going to use LSD test or Duncan test for
comparison between average values of treatments.
I want to know, is there any significant change between treatment and
between weeks? Because I did experiment for 8 weeks.
I am not

nomianl response model
Is there a way to estimate a nominal response model?
To be more specific let's say I want to calibrate:
\pi_{v}(\theta_j)=\frac{e^{\xi_{v}+\lambda_{v}\theta_j}}{\sum_{h=1}^m
e^{\xi_{h}+\lambda_{h}\theta_j}}
Where $\theta_j$ is a the dependent variable and I need to estimate
$\xi_{h}$ and $\lambda_{h}$ for $h \in {1...,m}$.
Thank you,
Mauricio Romero
