Evolutionary spectrum
Greetings,
I am a new user of R for Windows, and I'd like to ask about any R or S-Plus
routine that can compute the evolutionary spectrum of a time series.
Any help or pointers are greatly appreciated.
Apologies in advance if this has already been mentioned on the list.
Regards,
Franco

Any implementation of multiobjective optimization using evolutionary approach?
Hi
I'm quite new to this area a bit but I'm wondering if there is any implementation of multi-objective optimization using evolutionary approach available in R? Any point to reference would be really appreciated. Thank you.

Reference to use of MLR in industry and biology
I apologize in advance for posting a question not related to R.
I need references to papers that use multiple linear regression in an industrial application and also in a biological experiment.
This is aimed to biologists/chemists (non-statisticans) so if anyone has written a brilliant paper where the use of multiple regression is important and also understandable to people with little

predictive logistic model cell-biology, non-dichotomous data
Hi everyone,
I would like to fit a predictive model to my data in order to compare
absorbance readings to a toxin standard. This data was obtained by exposing
red blood cells to different toxin concentrations, which lead to the lysis
of the red blood cells, increasing the absorbance (hemoglobin is freed). The
data has a sigmoid shape (see below), so I thought about fitting a logistic
model to the

[LLVMdev] [Fwd: Optimization: Conclusions from Evolutionary Analysis]
This is a hot topic in the compiler research community, but the focus
there is on
(a) choosing the right optimization sequences internally and
transparently, rather than through combinations of options,
(b) performance prediction techniques so you don't actually have to run
gazillion different choices, and perhaps can even avoid the problem of
choosing representative inputs, as you talked
