trouble with library(FEAR) and libgfortran.so.1
Running R version 2.13.1 under Ubuntu 10.10 (kernel version 2.6.35-30-generic) on a x86-64 laptop with gfortran 4.4, I'm trying to install and use the FEAR package from http://www.clemson.edu/economics/faculty/wilson/Software/FEAR/fear.html. I downloaded the the FEAR 1.15 package for 64-bit Linux (compatible with R-2.12.0 compiled with GCC, GNU Fortran 4.1.2, Linux kernel 2.6.16.60 SMP) to the

Cannot install broom package
Hello, I've problems installing several packages in my R on Fedora 27 64 bit. I found out that it has to do something with a missing compiler (libgfortran.so.3, see below). It works if I downgrade the current version of libgfortran to the specified version by downloading libgfortran-6.2.1-2.fc25.x86_64.rpm and manually installing it. However, I don't want to mess up my system,

Problem Installing a local package in linux
Dear all, I am "still" fairly new to R and newer still to linux (opensuse). I want to install a package called "FEAR" from "http://www.clemson.edu/economics/faculty/wilson/Software/FEAR/fear-download.html". So, I downloaded the tar.gz file called "FEAR-linux-64bit-2.6.16.60-0.21-smp.tar.gz" and it is in the directory "/home/sambit/Downloads"

(PR#14226) -- Re: libgfortran misplaced in Mac OS X R install (PR#14226)
I am the guy who compiles the OpenMx binaries. We would be delighted to place our package on CRAN, once the project is stable enough so that we are comfortable releasing it to the larger public. Let's try to track down where I made a mistake. Our Makevars.in file contains the line: PKG_LIBS=$(FLIBS) $(BLAS_LIBS) $(LAPACK_LIBS) In addition, on the build machine I noticed that a copy of

R hangs on the stats.so library
Dear all, I having this problem on my laptop. It was caused by my clumsy attempts to upgrade the system. As I wrote here, (http://www.mail-archive.com/r-sig-debian at r-project.org/msg01364.html) I was trying to solve the same problem with JAGS/rjags on my laptop. After typing R in a terminal I'm currently get the following: > R version 2.9.0 (2009-04-17) > Copyright (C) 2009 The R

KernSmooth not loading in R 2.7.2
I just upgraded to R 2.7.2 (from 2.7.1) this morning (Ubuntu amd64 platform). Shortly afterwards, I ran into a problem loading the odesolve library, it could not find libRblas.so. I was able to fix this by rebuilding odesolve. Now, KernSmooth gives me the same problem... R> library(KernSmooth) Error in dyn.load(file, DLLpath = DLLpath, ...) : unable to load shared library

Trouble compiling igraph. . .
Been and R-user for about 5 years now in an industrial setting, and always find the mailing list most helpful. I have run into problem compiling igraph on R. I have contacted the maintainer of igraph, and he has determined that it is not an igraph problem. System is FreeBSD 7.2, R-2.10.1 [also have a sandbox machine running FreeBSD 7.3, R-2.11]. Both machines fail the installation of igraph.

Countvariable for id by date
Best R-users, Here’s a newbie question. I have tried to find an answer to this via help and the “ave(x,factor(),FUN=function(y) rank (z,tie=’first’)”-function, but without success. I have a dataframe (~8000 observations, registerdata) with four columns: id, dg1, dg2 and date(YYYY-MM-DD) of interest: id;dg1;dg2;date; 1;F28;;1997-11-04;

F28 had v1.16. F30 has the latest v1.22. Is there any reason I should not try the latest? Perhaps some dependencies not available in C8? --Doc Savage Fairview Heights, IL

[LLVMdev] [3.7.0] Two late issues with cross compilation to mips
Thanks. This is making a lot more sense now and it's looking like this issue isn't Mips specific. Here's the IR dump before simple register coalescing (note: I've patched the IR printer to print the contents of the regmask): 4480B %vreg260<def> = LDC1 %vreg253, <cp#3>[TF=6]; mem:LD8[ConstantPool] AFGR64:%vreg260 GPR32:%vreg253 4496B %vreg261<def> = FMUL_D32
