Hi Thomas, > What's really nice is, that it understands the Icecast log format > extension where we record the duration of the connection in seconds. I can't take credit for that, the work was done by Alejandro: https://github.com/piwik/piwik/pull/65 Cheers! Daniel

question on Icecast & licenses
Hello. Did anyone who launched Icecast server for his own radiostation acquired any licenses for playing music from artists or labels (sound recording companies)? Or you just pay royalties? For ex., if you play some track of F.Goya, do you get some licenses from him on his track or his label? Thanks Konstantin -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... If you are using dpkg you probably have dependencies missing. Do you have the Sourcefabric apt repository set up? http://en.flossmanuals.net/airtime-en-2-3/automated-installation/ If you have

Packages of icecast 2.4-beta?
Hello, At Sourcefabric we are testing Opus streams from the Airtime broadcast automation system via Icecast 2.4-beta. Other developers in our community are testing video streaming with Theora. We would like to make it easier for our users to try this Icecast beta themselves. Would it be premature for us to release a backported .deb package of icecast 2.4-beta for Debian and Ubuntu, or would the

Packages of icecast 2.4-beta?
Hi Thomas, > Do you have the infrastructure to stay current and rebuild e.g. on > dependency changes? Yes, we use pbuilder-dist for this. We are providing backports of related packages including liquidsoap, silan (a new silence detector application), and libopus0, as well as Airtime itself. > Actually I now wonder if using OBS could make this task easier. Hiya! And a question...
New to the list (and forum, but waiting for a moderator to approve - hence my question here) but not new to icecast. I have a question - I'm running an Airtime install with Icecast - and yes I asked them first but this has flummoxed them over at Sourcefabric - anyone had a problem with a HQ (192kbs) stream rebuffering every few seconds during a FTP/SSH upload to a remote streaming server?

Packages of icecast 2.4-beta?
Hi Thomas, > My preferred approach would be to explain how to merge the debian > packaging with a more recent tar-ball and rebuild a package out of this. We can provide a wiki page on that, sure, although we would probably go one step further and actually provide the packages for our target distros too (Debian stable/testing and Ubuntu 10.04/12.04 LTS). > a PPA approach might be

Android App for Icecast Administration
Hi Thomas, > As this is historical data I don't see any reason why you'd try to get > this through the web interface. The use case is when there is an Icecast service, but there might not be shell access to that server. So we have a stats interface in Airtime that only needs the admin password to create a listener count graph against time. > Chances are, that there you'd

Hey all, So we have been advised from this thread https://github.com/muaz-khan/WebRTC-Experiment/issues/28#issuecomment-18385702 to not use http put as it is not in real-time, instead they are suggesting the use of SDP, is that something that icecast supports? Or does anyone have other ideas on this? ~stephen On Sun 12 May 2013 01:51:31 AM CDT, Thomas Ruecker wrote: > Hi, > > On 11

This is turning a bit into a hate-thread against Airtime. Personally, I am not much of a hater (although sometimes I make exceptions, depending on how my day is), but I will say that Airtime is a pain-to-maintain on your server. It's pretty bloated as well; correct me if I'm wrong (this dates back to when I tried it with version 1.5 and 1.6 and 2.0 was in the works) - Zend PHP framework

Current bitrate equivalents for quality modes?
Hello, While tweaking the stream configuration interface in the Airtime broadcast automation tool (http://www.sourcefabric.org/en/airtime/) we noticed that Liquidsoap uses the zero to one scale for Vorbis quality, rather than the more familiar zero to ten scale used by oggenc. It seems I'm not the only person confused by this: http://ffmpeg.org/pipermail/ffmpeg-devel/2009-January/067964.html

CentOS AutoDJ Problem
Hello, ?here are my personal suggestions on the matter. I will stick to the Icecast and streaming part of it, as other questions in your message regard the difference between Linux distributions in general (CentOS is one flavor of Linux, different from Ubuntu or Debian). Note that there are many other solutions available. 2014-03-03 15:07 GMT+01:00 Jo se <kulturu01 at gmail.com>: >
