mountpoint fallback support
After I installed the latest nightly build, it looks like the fallback works without rebuffering. I do see one problem -- when the main mountpoint stream restarts, the fallback continues to play. Once I stop the fallback mountpoint stream, the main mountpoint stream restarts, but only after client rebuffering
Also, during the mountpoint switchovers, sometimes the meta-data is lost in the

Auto rotation on day/hour or dump possible?
Hi Philipp,
Thank you, thats good news that the log on date rotation is in the new version 2.5.
And can you indicate what you are waiting for before making it the stable 2.5 release?
And in which version of openssl does this problem no longer occur?
Sorry for straying from the original question :-)
Best regards,
Michel

samba 3.0.11, security=server and smbpasswd as fallback not working
Hi,
with samba 2.2.12 a user was able to connect to a share with his local
smbpasswd if he had no user on the password server. I updated the samba
server
to 3.0.11 and this is not working anymore. I kept the config files and the
smbpasswd file. The smb.conf man page describes old behavior, but if the
password server rejects the password the connection gets terminated

keep in mind that the ticket you linked is about dumpfile rotation. log
file rotation is the same as it always has been.
As this is a very common thing being asked if I may just include:

Auto rotation on day/hour or dump possible?
Hi Philipp,
Okay that's also a nice solution rename the log file and reload icecast. Only it may be that the file size has been reached, turning off archive then is this option is the best way! Thanks
The wrapper works well so far. And also retaining the original log files.
I check the the Linux machine for the ssl problem for 2.4.4 and 2.5 beta.
It is Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster) OpenSSL

Hot Fallover
Hello List:
Recently our shorewall FW server went dead (PS failure) & brought the entire
system down. Luckily we are testing the FW and other servers, so we did not
loose anything. Now we have decided to setup two Shorewall FW servers with a
primary & another fallover FW server.
I have done some research cruised the Internet and found that a product

Shorewall under xen
Hi All
It''s about time to upgrade my shorewall routers again so thinking of possible
changes.
In our main office have managed switches and 5 xen servers.
I''m thinking of running the firewall/router under xen.
Don''t have all the details figured out but this is roughly what I''m thinking
of:
Set up separate vlan for the two isps and plug isps into the switch.

Is Puppet similar to Capistrano?
I discovered Capistrano while I was trying to figure out what I
wanted. See attached notes.

Puppet seems promising.
Thanks,

Toll-free DID switchover: Get status?
Hello!
I am in the middle of having a vanity toll-free DID set up. It's been 13
days now (9 business days). This is the first time I'm doing this, and
I'm not sure of the process. There has been a very weird progression of
changes on my number, from fast-busy, to a message saying that I'm calling
from a phone with restrictions (no matter *what* line I call from), to a

[LLVMdev] Working on getting MingW32/native tools-only source build up
Hello, Kenneth

This means, that generation of llvm-config for you is broken. I really
suggest to use perl from msys-DTK, not ActivePerl.

Building two redundant servers without clustering
Hi,
my Fileserver lately refused to work anymore. I'm quite thankfull for
that for that it was a bit slow anyway ;-)
My idea is to set up two relativley samba-hosts instead of byuing one
"real" server with many build in redundancies. That can only work if I
can manage to keep both filesystems in sync and I see two alternatives:
1.: Use drdb to build a RAID1 across the two

Mirrored samba servers.
I have a customer that is using 250 gig drives for his business data. I
have been using rsync to keep mirror copies of his data on a second
machine. In the last 3 months I have lost 2 of four drives, the last
one being the system drive. I have been doing a manual switchover. Each
time rsync runs, I copy my samba conf files, passwd, shadow and group
files from etc. Has anyone setup a HA

Question about relays, mountpoints and fallback
Hi,
I'm trying to make the following situation work:
We have a jukebox (/jukebox.ogg) and live DJs (/live.ogg). The jukebox
should be the active stream when no DJ is connected and also the
fallback if the DJs connection should drop.
However, when a DJ is connected, one should not be able to listen to the
jukebox correctly. So there would be 1 effective stream as a result.

[LLVMdev] svn convert "issue"
Apparently Tanya and I got dropped from svn commit privs. That is now fixed.
The next issue is that John left his cvs convert script in his crontab (which I
just removed). As such, *all svn commits that happened since the switchover
have been lost*. Needless to say, this irritates me.
John, will you please reapply all lost commits? You can find the diffs here:

Why not separate the two patches: making {} legal
