YP Directory Listing Concern
Hi Prince Run ps -ef|grep icecast and make sure that you are looking at the correct config file. In my example it is /etc/icecast/icecast.xml I pulled my hair out once on something simple as that. Hope it helps Sent from Mail for Windows 10 From: Prince Naryk Sent: Thursday, March 28, 2019 10:13 AM To: Icecast streaming server user discussions Subject: Re: [Icecast] YP Directory Listing

Most likely because your router will not forward your public IP address on your LAN. You will need to substitute the IP with 127.0.0.1 when listening internally. I can’t see your Icecast server from here, so it appears to be a port forwarding issue to me. Icecast's YP bugs
Ok I've been discovering many bugs in Icecast's YP implementation.. The most serious of which is, if a YP server is rejecting a stream the server has a memory leak which, as it continues to re-try to publish it's rejected streams, grows until the server segfaults. On our server, for instance, we're relaying shoutcast streams (which does not relay the stream name and other

You need either of these: * your personal machine MUST be reachable from the public Internet   By default this is NOT the case for most private internet connections.   At the very least you would need to reconfigure a NAT-router. * an Internet

exposed-port option for Icecast behind reverse proxy
Hello, I didn't want to have to choose between Icecast running on port 80 and all my Apache virtual hosts, running also on port 80, on my sole external IP address. I didn't want either to open port 8000 on my firewall because I wanted all users being able to reach Icecast even the ones behind enterprise firewalls. So I managed to run Apache 2.2 listening on port 80 and Icecast 2.3.2

Kicking duplicate connections
Hello fellow mailing list readers, My question relates to multiple / duplicate connections to the ice cast server from the same IP address. I am well aware that this is an issue that lies with the music player (listener agent) used by the listener. When a listener connects to the stream, sometimes it appears as two connections to the stream from the same IP address. This may last only a few

Server URL vs. Listen URL
I'm in the process of setting up ICECAST Server running on Windows Server 2003. the Server sits behind a NAT Firewall with a port opened up to make the Icecast server accessible. From an IP address when the Server is running I can access the stream no problems. But I cannot accees the server by name from the Internet. I have traced the problem down to the names being used for the Server URL
