improve compatibility with Galaxy tablet?
See below, although none of these things should be specific to the Galaxy tablet (my older tablet works fine, too). On 2020-01-03 13:20, Robert Jeffares wrote: > Is the Galaxy using Wi-Fi ? improve compatibility with Galaxy tablet?
What software do you use to listen to the stream. Android stock browser? And how are you feeding the audio to icecast? List of files via oggfwd? can admin folder render HTML files?
I put a custom HTML file in the admin folder, but when I login to the admin interface then browse to it (e.g., http://server:8000/admin/mypage.html), I get "400 - UNRECOGNISED COMMAND". Is admin (or the admin folder) able to render only the standard Icecast files? I'm using 2.4.4 on Windows 10. Thanks, Justin -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

making sense of the stats
Hi, Robert. I appreciate the explanation. Indeed, the terminology is not consistent or intuitive. So by your "4 services" you mean _sources_? If clients are source connections (one and the same?), then how do we reconcile limits for both clients and sources? Is it like saying, 'for all of the X sources, they can have a total of Y connections'? How can I set limits on the

Listenurl is not in HTTPS
Hi Justin, >Are you talking about the listen URL in the Icecast status page? I think it is currently not able show the link as httpS. Maybe one of the Icecast experts can confirm that. Yes I was talking about this value. The workaround was to put my own m3u file ( with the correct link ) in the icecast web folder > Is this truly an OGG audio file? can't stream Opus in CAF format
Using FFmpeg, I can stream to a file on disk okay: c:\apps\ffmpeg\bin\ffmpeg.exe -f dshow -i audio="Line In (Realtek High Definition Audio)" -c:a libopus -ac 1 -b:a 32000 live.caf But, if I add Icey metadata, FFmpeg throws errors: c:\apps\ffmpeg\bin\ffmpeg.exe -f dshow -i audio="Line In (Realtek High Definition Audio)" -c:a libopus -ac 1 -b:a 32000^ -ice_name

Streaming issue with IOS and Safari
We had only MP3 for a long time, and all iOS users could listen. I don't think iOS likes OGG. We also advertise the VLC app in case someone has an issue with the web player. Listenurl is not in HTTPS
I have successfully installed IceCast with SSL support : https://relay2.dgnet.be/ Stream is working fine with this URL : https://relay2.dgnet.be:443/different.ogg Nevertheless the listen URL still points to http://relay2.dgnet.be:443/different.ogg ( without https then ) So the links provided/generated by IceCast are wrong . What did I miss ? Is it possible to force the listenurl value in the

making sense of the stats
I can't make sense of the connection stats on the admin page. We have one source and one mountpoint. What is the difference between _client_connections_ and _clients_ and _connection_s? How can they be so different in value? Same questions for _listener_connections_ and _listeners_? The connections values seem high for only 5 listeners and one admin. Here is a snapshot of the admin

Hi José, Just to be sure, did you mean to share this PHP script somewhere? Robert, I'm thinking you'll have to do something like José did and create some custom code to get all that you are asking for. So how does this work? Are you prompted with a password-only dialog, then what you type in has to match the value in htpasswd? Samsung Galaxy 3 and Centos
My cell phone provider just sent me a letter stating that my 3 year contract is up and they will give me a Samsung Galaxy 3 if I will sign a new contract. I'm wondering how well (or if) that phone will work with Centos 6. My existing Samsung phone (can't remember the model number) doesn't integrate well or at all with Centos; whenever I plug it into the computer it finds the phone

How do I find the apparent magnitude of a galaxy from a FITS file?
Greetings! I am still new to R but have been asked to look at doing astronomy with R. I have a FITS file which contains an optical telescope image (it can be viewed in SAOimageDS9). I need to estimate the magnitude of a galaxy... and eventually other optical sources. How do I find the apparent magnitude of a galaxy from a FITS file? -- View this message in context:
