The logs don't show a fault. The configuration for the "web" files are usually under /etc/icecast2/web/ (or similar... RedHat may put them somewhere else). Have you actually tried viewing the server on port 8000? eg. http://your.server.example.com:8000/ -- Paul Martin <pm at nowster.me.uk>

Aloha Paul, I did originally try to view the server on port 8000 and 8001 and I get an error message that the site cannot be reached. It initially seemed like a firewall issue, but our LAN admin has opened the ports and allowed the icecast connection. Interestingly, when I start icecast it hangs and does not print that the server has started, is this an issue that anyone has encountered? I have

Icecast Fedora9 migration problems
Ok, First I want to start off with this isn't the first icecast I have cloned, but it is the first where I have not only jumped Fedora release versions, but arch types as well (i386 - x86_64) and I am having strange problems. The Icecast versions are the same between the old and new servers. The biggest being is that the server binds to whatever port it feels like instead of the bind port

SSL.
Hello, I’m new to icecast and I’m trying to setup icecast on Debian 8, with the 2.4.3 version, compiled manually. The thing is I can’t make the ssl part work. I have a listen directive like this : <listen-socket> <port>8483</port> <ssl>1</ssl> </listen-socket> and ssl-certificate :

Kicking duplicate connections
Hello fellow mailing list readers, My question relates to multiple / duplicate connections to the ice cast server from the same IP address. I am well aware that this is an issue that lies with the music player (listener agent) used by the listener. When a listener connects to the stream, sometimes it appears as two connections to the stream from the same IP address. This may last only a few

C vs. C++ as learning and development tool for R
I have 3 years of experience with R and have an interest in becoming a better programmer so that I might someday be able to contribute packages. Other than R, my only experience was taking Lisp from Daniel Friedman in the 1970's. I would like to learn either C or C++ for several reasons: To gain a better concept of object oriented programming so that I can begin to use S4 methods in R. To

Starting and running apps seems to go just fine. But when apps needs userinputs it just hangs forever. I can't interact. What's up, what have I forgotten? I'm running FreeBSD 4.2-STABLE and XFree 4.0.2. Bjarne

stdint.h on Solaris 7
Hi together, here is a little success tory how I got flac 1.2.1 (ZIP from downloads page) compiled with Solaris 7: First of all you need a lot packages from sunfreeware.com If you have installed the required packages you may end up with an error that says there is no stdint.h on your system. On an other forum I have read upgrading to Solaris 10 "fixes" this problem but that might not

screen goes blank
Hi I just upgraded wine to version 0.9.25 on ubuntu dapper, and now DeusEx makes the screen/desktop go blank. I've been running DeusEx for a long time without issues. I've tried reverting back to version 0.9.24, but the blank screen happens still. I'm running all application in an emulated desktop, so no matter what, wine shouldn't turn the entire screen blank. Any ideas

pread() failures when using mdbox on btrfs
(Note: I am not subscribed to this ML, so please be sure to CC me in replies.) Hello, I see a strange bug when running dovecot under btrfs with a mailbox in mdbox format. At some point, which can take a few minutes or more than a day, dovecot starts logging pread() failures, like so: Apr 02 23:43:42 thetick dovecot[570]: imap(marcec): Error: pread() failed with file

Driver installation after reboot
Hello, I have installed a Windows game using Wine. ("Ritter Rost", basically a simple point and click adventure for children, see http://www.terzio.de/produkte/677/Ritter_Rost_Geisterjagd_Wasserpost.html) When starting the game, I receive a message that some drivers are being installed. (That's okay, I receive the same message when running the game for the first time on Windows.)
