Files not populated in var/www
Greetings, I would love any advice configuring icecast on a virtual redhat server hosted by our university. I am currently trying to configure Icecast and cannot get the icecast server to start. The config file looks correct. I checked the /var/www/icecast/web and /var/www/icecast/admin folders and they were both empty, leading me to believe that this is why the server will not start. Since I was

Source can't connect to Icecast with SSL enabled
No I haven't because I thought SSL would be only enabled for the listener auth, not source auth. So apparently if I want listener SSL the source must support SSL also ? That sounds kind of unnecessary and preferably should be an option. If this is not possible I guess stunnel is the only way to go. Thank you very much. On Wed, Jan 14, 2015 at 1:46 PM, "Thomas B. call an IP camera?
Hi, is it possible to "call" an IP camera? I'm thinking about something like bridging with a music stream, but instead of streaming audio, bridge with the video stream from the camera. It would be very cool if I could just call the camera and see what's going on. Ffmpeg shows the following streams available from the camera: Stream #0:0: Video: h264 (Main),

IPv6 full support (future wish)
Hi Philipp, Thank you for the information. sorry for the unclear question. I do not know that we can use a full IPv6 address in bind-address item. I can not find it in the documents. Can we use it on all 2.4 versions? Best regards, Michel Philipp Schafft schreef op 2018-08-15 12:40: > Good morning, > > On Wed, 2018-08-15 at 11:15 +0200, Michel van Dop wrote: > >> Hi,

Kicking duplicate connections
Hello fellow mailing list readers, My question relates to multiple / duplicate connections to the ice cast server from the same IP address. I am well aware that this is an issue that lies with the music player (listener agent) used by the listener. When a listener connects to the stream, sometimes it appears as two connections to the stream from the same IP address. This may last only a few

Accelerated video output with ffmpeg2theora 0.24
When I converted two files with ffmpeg2theora their duration changed shorter - they seem to play back with accelerated speed. When I play one of them with VLC, the video stops at 99 seconds but audio continues until 170 seconds. The other file is 120 seconds long but it is played back in 80 seconds. Here is ffmpeg2theora output: $ ffmpeg2theora --optimize --inputfps 25 -F 25 2002-05-23\ Juho\

winbindd issues on member server
Hi there After having posted a while ago about the trouble I had with 3.0.23 I gave it another try with 3.0.23d I installed the current version on our samba PDC and BDC while the member server was still running 3.0.22. This setup has worked for a couple of weeks with no issues. I then upgraded the member server two days ago to 3.0.23d and after serveral hours I could not connect via ssh to

Best version of Icecast? / Icecast as a service? / Videostreaming?
Hello, 1. Which version of Icecast is the best and newest. Officially it is 2.4.4 at icecast.org. But is there a mod version with more features? 2. Who can run Icecast as a Windows service? My 2.4.3 version does not support this. Older versions had this option during installation. 3. Can Icecast stream also video livestream? Where can I find more about it? Kind regards. -------------- next

LoginEngine / UserEngine conceptual help
All, I have a small Intranet app I''m trying to get ready for remote access. (I only have 15 or so users for now and I don''t plan to be adding very many more.). I have installed the login engine and it seems to be working as advertized. (Great job!) For my needs I don''t want random people to be able to register and get access to my app, but I will need to register

Legality Issue & Relaying

I notice that the PRC do their licence cost on a percentage of your revenue, seeing as I plan to host no adverts or indeed any commercial aspect I hope to get a licence without actually paying anything. Building rpm package for Hmisc on Fedora 12
Hi, I'm trying to get the 'xts' library from CRAN packaged for Fedora 12, and one of its dependencies is 'Hmisc'. I have created a spec file for that using R2spec, but building it fails with something in building the manual pages: Warning: ./man/escapeRegex.Rd:22: unknown macro '\backslash' [similar warnings snipped] Warning: newline within quoted string at

ffmpeg2theora: issue converting from a png image list
Hi Jan, all I am trying to generate a video introduction with a fade-in / fade-out effect. To do this with ffmpeg2theora only, I generated a list of PNG images: img001.png, img002.png... img299.png The ffmpeg2theora man page says: Encode a series of images: ffmpeg2theora frame%06d.png -o output.ogv That's exactly what I tried with the latest 0.24 release of ffmpeg2theora:
