lmer error: number of observations <= number of random effects
I am running a multilevel growth curve model to examine predictors of
social anhedonia (SA) trajectory through ages 12, 15 and 18. SA is a
continuous numeric variable. The age variable (Index1) has been coded as 0
for age 12, 1 for age 15 and 2 for age 18. I am currently using a time
varying predictor, stress (LSI), which was measured at ages 12, 15 and 18,
to examine whether trajectory/variation

[R-sig-ME] lmer error: number of observations <= number of random effects
Dear Srinidhi,
You are trying to fit 1 random intercept and 2 random slopes per
individual, while you have at most 3 observations per individual. You
simply don't have enough data to fit the random slopes. Reduce the random
part to (1|ID).

master detail problem
Hello all,
Has anyone done one of these? I''ve done similar things in java and php,
by having easy access to SQL statements. I am new to Ruby/Rails( I''ve
been at it for 10 days ) and thus far find it extremely confusing. I''ve
got a bit more of a handle on it from the Agile book that someone loaned
me, but I still find it hard to understand.
Anyway, I''ve got

Make a transfer for external line.
Hi all,
We have an asterisk version v1.6.1.20 with a TDM400 board (2 FXS and 2
FXO).
We want to do a transfer "blind" and "attended" from a line external
connected to one FXO.
We have made configuration, and transfers from internal lines (FXS) work
fine but from (FXO) not.
We have made 2 test, one work fine from FXS and the other form FXO no.
Test 1, work fine:

nesting in CoxPH with survival package
Hello all,
I am trying to understand how to specify nested factors when using
coxph(), and if it is appropriate to nest these factors in my
situation.
In the simplest form, I am testing two different temperatures, with
each temperature being performed twice in different experimental
periods (e.g. Temp5 performed in Period A and C, Temp4 performed in
Period B and D)
I am trying to see if survival

Help to conduct a random factor analysis with binomial response
Dear users of the R mailing list,
I am a ph.d. student in biology working on red deer in Norway, who would
like to conduct an analysis with random factor where the response is
binomially distributed. This cannot be conducted in S-plus, and I was told
by others that it may be possible in R. However, I soon got into trouble
which I hope you can help me to solve.
My model is on this form:

Writing a breakable loop? If it gets a match it should stop.
I''m trying to write a function that will accept a rails URL, and see if
it matches one of my Rights. Rights are just controller URLs, so I can
manage access at the controller level (don''t need action level). What
I''m trying to do is take the url passed, and see if its access
controlled. If it is, the method should stop and return true, if not it
will return false. This

Is there Wine-like software for other guest platforms?
The wine concept--a compatibility layer that allows running executables compiled for Windows on a Linux or Unix host--is a very useful concept that could reasonably be used to adapt between other platforms. It's somewhere between running a virtual machine and cross-compiling the application.
Is there anything similar for other (non-Windows) guest platforms?
Right now, I'm specifically

more or less pager
R-users,
(forgive my return adres)
I've been breaking my head why R---which i find fabulous, by the
way---does not pipe interactive output through a pager (more or less),
like it does with help(), or like GNU Octave does with arrays with more
than terminal height rows.
Maybe it is my installation (Debian/GNU Linux). Maybe it is my
configuration, but i don't think so because with

MWI on Cisco 7905
Hi,
I'm using a Cisco 7905 (with SIP image CP7905010300SIP050414A) on
Asterisk 1.07.
Whenever the user gets voicemail, the MWI goes on, and when the user
listens to the voicemail, the MWI goes off. However, the phone is
configured (as in the default config by Cisco) to re-read its
configuration from tftp every hour. This 'warm reboot' also turns off
the MWI, and it won't
