Mount with Relay: Fallback-override does not work
Hello,
I'm using Icecast over 10 years, so let me first say *Thank you to all
developers* of Icecast!
I have a problem using a mount with relay and a fallback. The option
<fallback-override> is not working.
I tested two different configurations:
_Configuration A:_
??? <mount>
??????? <mount-name>/Stream-096k.mp3</mount-name>

kh-version?

validates_uniqueness_of (with :scope) doesn't seem to work?
I have a master record called ''project'' and a child record called
''agycode''. Obviously, agycode has a project_id FK. I wish to make the
"descr" field unique ONLY within the ''project_id'' ''scope''. Here are the key
pieces of information

Playing a recorded mp3 file like a livestream
Hi,
For question 3, I think there is ezstream (https://icecast.org/ezstream/) which can to an endless loop like you wish. All files should (actually must) be encoded in the format of your stream.
Also I would setup the mpuntpoints in a row:
- live mp with fallback to ezstream mp
- ezstream mp with fallback to static file
So if ezstream fails you deliver the static file.

Saving the monitor file on new file always using Monitor(wav, Record1, m)
Dear List;
For each call (in specific case), I need to do a record and save in a spearated file, so I am thinking the best thing is to save based on the time.
Monitor(wav,Record1,m)
So, how can I make the file name to be based on the current time (which is changed always, or based on the some unique paramter (related to the call it self).
Any advise?

problem when exiting from "record file" function without pressing the escape digit
Hi everybody,
I've been working on a project which records the voice of the incoming call.
I use record_file function of asterisk as described below:
RECORD FILE <filename> <format> <escape digits> <timeout> [offset samples]
[BEEP] [s=<silence>]
filename: record1
format: wav
escape digits: #
timeout: -1
offset samples: 0
BEEP: 1

relay & fallback timeout issue
i have two icecast servers on the same host (logging to the same file)
one is a public server that people connect to
one is a backend switcher to switch what they listen to and handle fallbacks.
when a source or relay times out, the public server disconnects at the same time that the backend server switches to the fallback.
what is the best way to deal w/ this? increase the source timeout on the

Something like this ?

<port>8000</port>
<mount>/arelayer</mount>
<local-mount>/arvorig</local-mount>

Fallback on-demand relay problem
We found an interesing issue that after a downed publishing point is
restored, the fallback relay doesn't stop relaying. We've tried everything,
but once /asf2 or /asf3 is envoked for /asf1 fallback reasons, they don't
stop relaying their source streams even though the output stream /asf1 has
returned to normal. Eventually we end up with /asf2 relaying indefinately

Client ... has fallen too far behind, removing - but only when listening to a relay, not when listening to fallback
I have an icecast server (B) which relays another icecast server (A).
Server B is configured to play a local fallback file when server A is
unavaliable. Both are version 2.3.3
When I listen to server B (the relay), while server A is turned off,
all works fine ie I can listen to the fallback track without problem.
However if I listen to Server B while server A is running then I

Finding distinct months using find_by_sql
Hello,
I''m wondering if someone might be able to offer me a solution to the
following problem that has so far stumped me.
I''m trying to get the distinct months (and years) from a date field to
display as a list in a view. For example, there might be a number of
records stored with dates in the table ''headlines'':
name date
record1 21-09-2008

I have two active encoders, one is encoding to the active mount and one is
encoding to the fallback mount on the back-end node. Configuration of the

Best version of Icecast? / Icecast as a service? / Videostreaming?
Hello,
1. Which version of Icecast is the best and newest. Officially it is
2.4.4 at icecast.org. But is there a mod version with more features?
2. Who can run Icecast as a Windows service? My 2.4.3 version does not
support this. Older versions had this option during installation.
3. Can Icecast stream also video livestream? Where can I find more about it?
Kind regards.

fallback override failing for 128 mbps mp3 stream
I'm still having an issue with the fallback override from a 128 kbps mp3
stream. I have 6 streams all with fallbacks and overrides. All are
working except the 128 mp3. All of the fallback streams are from
ezstream which just plays a file matching the original source format.
my 3 ogg streams and 2 of my mp3 streams work just fine with fallbacks
and come back when the original stream

Bug in handling fallback-override clients + patch
Hello,
I noticed a bug in the fallback-override handling in icecast 2.3.3. The
bug is as follows:
We use icecast for distributing a continuous radio stream, let's call
this stream "live", with mountpoint "/live"
In our usecase we have a second audio stream, called "event". This
stream is only online when there is a special event. This is on
mountpoint
