I use Let's Encrypt for SSL with icecast. Here is my rudimentary script on GitHub... It does NOT require Apache or nginx.

Pathing syntax for icecast.xml in Windows
Marvin,
Ah, thank you for clarifying where "webroot" is.
The application here will be a non-public stream with one listener
client. Icecast is hosted on a computer at our radio station. It will
receive a stream from a stream client at a remote live music event.
There will be one listener: a media player running on another computer
on the network at the station which will send the

Pathing syntax for icecast.xml in Windows
Hi Marvin, thank you.
Okay, then to be clear, "webroot" for the purposes of running Icecast
under Windows would be the same folder where icecast.xml is normally
found, i.e., C:\Program Files\icecast
And, if I read you correctly, suppose my normal mount coming from my
source client is called /example (it is an mp3 stream so I don't
specify the extension). If I place a file

Yes. Though I don't know if using an arbitrary one works from the admin
directory. Certainly you can put them in icecast's webroot directory (or some

No sound on any stream.
I figured out half the issue.
Icecast appears to be transmitting on port 8000 just fine. The more I dig,
the more I realize icecast is fine.
Browser vlc seems to be broke. Direct connect via VLC standalone to ->
http://66.228.49.182:8000/66.228.49.182.ogg.m3u works perfect.

I break there.
Thank you!

Pathing syntax for icecast.xml in Windows
Hi Philipp,
Thank you.
I find in the Icecast docs the following:
"_A fallback mount can also state a file that is located in webroot._
This is useful for playing a pre-recorded file in the case of a stream
going down. It will repeat until either the listener disconnects or a
stream comes back available and takes the listeners back. As per usual,
the file format should match the stream

Ok, I did not know about Icecast2 can also serve web pages, wow ... it
is very powerful !!
I do not have Ubuntu, but I experimented with Debian. I put in a
Icecast2 server (server 1) an html page (x.html). In this web page I can
play without problems a radio station that is hosted on another Icecast2
server (server 2), but I can only play a limited time (9:01) the radio

Dovecot replies with default SSL certificate instead of the vhost's
Hello,
I'm using dovecot v2.0.21.
According to http://wiki2.dovecot.org/SSL/DovecotConfiguration,dovecot 2.x supports different SSL certificate for different virtual hosts by using "local_name" directive, but I can't get it to work.
When testing the certificate using "openssl s_client -connect domain.com:pop3s" I get the default certificate instead of
