Icecast on my website
No flash player can fetch the embedded metadata due to security restrictions concerning non-standard request headers which is required in order to get the embedded metadata. A patch for ice cast to allow this however is quite possible, perhaps a config directive that tells icecast not to wait for the specific request header and send the embedded metadata regardless of the icy-metadata header will

One question about comparison between HE-AAC v2 and CELT
Hi , I visited celt website. I saw the comparison between AAC-LD with celt. But how about the HE-AAC? If the scenario is that we limit the bandwidth to 50kbps, will music encoded by HE-AAC v2 be better than CELT? What's HE-AAC v2's delay? Thank you very much. Re What HTML5 radio player do you use ?
Its seem to be ok in here. Also, i would suggest giving http://jplayer.org/ a try, provides fallback solutions as well as customization options and large active community. Newbie question VoD streaming with Icecast
Dear All, I am curious to know if IceCast can be used for audio/video on-demand streaming over http/https. My basic understanding is that IceCast runs in broadcast mode. As such, it may not be ideal for my particular use case, wherein, I wish to stream media files on demand to multiple browser based clients who may request the same media file at different times. Is it possible at all then to

Chrome not allowing mixed content anymore
For example, in my case, we use several servers with Centovacast, with several Icecast2 services. Version 2.5 of Icecast2, allows to respond to http and https connections from the same port, but takes years in beta. Centovacast does not update its panel, waiting for the final version of Icecast 2.5 to be released. Chrome has been warning for months that this would happen in February, but no one

Help attack DDOS
Server software firewall cannot help with ddos attacks. Basically if those are indeed ddos attacks you’ll have to look into mitigation solutions which are quite expensive. CloudFlare won’t work as well since they do not support streaming. You should consider getting a server at a data center which provide ddos mitigation, I know that OVH’s mitigation is quite good. בתאריך יום ג׳, 5 ביוני 2018

Directory Listing on http://dir.xiph.org/
Hello everyone! I am having a issue with what I am doing wrong here to get listed in the xiph.org public directory. I have the newest icecast-2.3.99.3_beta3, loaded on a Win7 box acting as server, and using BUTT to encode the source at 32kbps, mono, .mp3, from VLC playlists. I have the server config set to public, and have this code in the icecast.xml file: <directory>

Proper way to start multiple icecast services through bash script?
Yes, the web players I've tested have a hard time parsing meta properly using only one instance with separate streams. Tested at least 6 of them looking for reliable meta and cross browser/OS compatibility.
