Error Syncing to MPEG
I am trying to relay a streamtuner Live365 stream across a ssh tunnel to
a remote XP pc, where I would pick it up using winamp.
I have a similar setup with a non-live365 stream routed using
streamripper to port 9001 and this plays correctly in winamp
For my Live365 stream, I have a RealVNC root session that is streaming
the Live365 broadcast from streamtuner (using XMMS). I can see XMMS

This is a mail in response to streamripper being threatened by legal
action from Live365. The DMCA strikes again.

Vorbis granule position
I have a technical question about the vorbis granule position,
but I would like to put the question into context.
When a ogg vorbis stream is ripped using wget, fetch, or
streamripper under Linux or FreeBSD, the resulting file has
problems both with granule position and with a missing EOS. I
think I can figure out how to add an EOS, but is there a way
to determine the granule position in a stream

mp3 stream and Chrome v.65.0.33.25.181
Hi there,
I have used VLC 0.9.9 on Windows platform for streaming audio to icecast2 for years. Had no problems. Since Google Chrome v.65.0.33.25.181 I ran into problems. Stream will play couple of minutes and then stop.
Is there something fundamentally wrong with my configuration in vlm configuration:

reason for?
2. filerecording works fine but how can i
make every hour a new file without breaking
the stream for listener?

New User Installation: Questions about live streaming
I recently installed icecast and iceS and all seems to be well.
I have spent four days trying to understand and use darkice and finally gave
up. Using darkice configuration:
[general]
duration = 0 # do it forever
bufferSecs = 10
[input]
#device=hw:0,0
device = /dev/dsp
sampleRate = 22050 # 44100 or 22050 or 11025...
bitsPerSample = 16 #16 bit samples
channel = 2 # 1 for mono, 2 means stereo.

DarkIce not at the moment, though as of 0.8 you can save all what is
sent to the server in a local file.

206 response for Chrome Mobile
Hi -
I'm using Icecast to stream some audio that I embed in an <audio> tag
on a webpage. This is working great for desktop browsers and on iOS,
but it doesn't work on Android.
It looks like Chrome mobile sends the header "Range: bytes=0-1" and
then doesn't try to load any more data when Icecast responds with a 0
byte "HTTP/1.0 200 OK" response. From my

dump-file per source per mount
Hi !
Maybe you could find something with this line in the <mount> section of the
icecast.xml file:
<dump-file>/tmp/dump-example1.ogg</dump-file>
But I prefer to use streamripper which can do this easily on a client side:

Darkice "Buffer overrun": how to troubleshoot?
We're running a darkice/icecast configuration to stream our LPFM radio
station (and to provide a quick-n-dirty studio-transmitter-link). (See
config data below.)
We're getting intermittent "Buffer overrun!" errors out of darkice, and
we associate these with interruptions in our audio stream that are quite
noticeable. These occur anywhere from once to ten times per hour.
