Access Log Time Issue
I am having an issue with access.log. The listen time is way too large. I am getting lines such as: 10.120.34.31 - - [29/Sep/2014:00:12:03 -0400] "GET /music HTTP/1.1" 200 8827 "(null)" "-" 16099200 16099200 is way too large for a listen time. I am using Icecast 2.4.0 on Windows Server 2012 R2.Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks, Drew -------------- next

configuration & error help
Hi everybody, just a new face showing up looking for a little help configuring IceCast. Just installed the software with a few other programs in an attempt to start off my own internet radio station. Using SimpleCast to take the line-in and stream it to IceCast, which in-turn does the obvious and streams it to the internet. I'm looking at just creating a station of just 5 max users (for

Darkice "Buffer overrun": how to troubleshoot?
We're running a darkice/icecast configuration to stream our LPFM radio station (and to provide a quick-n-dirty studio-transmitter-link). (See config data below.) We're getting intermittent "Buffer overrun!" errors out of darkice, and we associate these with interruptions in our audio stream that are quite noticeable. These occur anywhere from once to ten times per hour.

multiple instances?
Hello, unosonic, Okay, we'll do it this way as it appears to be the only sane way... THIS is the xml config file that I've been using for ONE STREAM ONLY. No more than one stream nor any other port on that single stream, for that matter, has ever worked to date. There also seems to be alot of clutter but as I've NEVER had to use these oddball format files before (in any of my 30

Icecast mount points help
Hi Mark, Add extensions to all of your mountpoints for the appropriate audio codec/format you're using. For example, <mount-name>/test.opus</mount-name> for an Ogg/Opus stream. Don't forget to add extensions in the <fallback-mount> sections, too. I didn't look too closely at your config otherwise, that error was standing out. Cheers, Jordan P.S. Please

Regarding fallback mount points.
Hi all. I finally got my automating stream working. now, I do have a question for you all regarding fallback mount. I believe I have them setup correctly. but what I would want to do is when I go to http://kjscradio.com:8000/stream.mp3.m3u, I would like it to fallback to the mount point that I have setup for my automation stream. Then, when a source drops the connection from the /stream.mp3.m3u

Marc, Lines with a <!-- and --> are commented and not used. You need to remove these around the mount items. The <<!-- looks like it needs fixing. I am using Winamp, Icecast2 Server, and Edcast. I believe I have set these up properly so that I can set up and broadcast an internet radio station. These are the links I used to help me: https://www.pcworld.com/article/190705/start_your_own_internet_radio_station_for_free.html https://www.fastserv.com/kb/article/edcast_winamp_-_easy_steps_to_streaming_to_icecast_or_shoutcast/

<fallback-override>
Hello! I have a fallback mount point with <fallback-override>. When my source client reconnects, the media player is moved mack to the right mount point but the media players I have tried (mplayer and VLC) keep playing the fallback. Is this because of my source client (liquidsoap), icecast or the media players? I think I noticed some message in mplayer about mime type or something.
