Opus supported source client without transcoding?
Okey, thanks. Do you have any idea what I might use for feedings files
to oggfwd?
I have done a bit of searching, but I can't really find anything. With
mpd it's possible to set a file as output with their fifo output
plugin: http://www.musicpd.org/doc/user/ch05s06.html#idp58733200 But
it seems like it's a PCM stream and not the file as-is.

Opus supported source client without transcoding?
Figured I'd join the list since I saw someone else had just popped in looking for exactly the same thing I am (non-transcoding opus streamer for sending multiple .opus files to icecast2).
It looks like ices2 would do exactly what I personally need, except for not having been updated to support opus yet. (I chatted on IRC once or twice with someone who it sounds like is interested in adding

Opus supported source client without transcoding?
have you tried "cat $1.opus $2.opus $3.opus | oggfwd"
could be a band-aid until ices2 can work with opus files - if it works...

mpd has support for flac!
Hello,
http://musicpd.sf.net just came out today, with (amongst many other things)
support for flac. MPD is a very stable, lean Music Playing Daemon written
in C, that can be interfaced several different ways, through php, plain old
telnet, there is a CLI on the way, and a GTK2 client on the way also.
Please give it a try and tell us what you think @ irc.oftc.net #mpd.
Thanks

On the fly transcoding from FLAC to a Vorbis stream
I'd like to store all of my music in FLAC form; however, I would also
like to stream the library as Vorbis.
Is there a tool to do on the fly stream encoding to Vorbis from FLAC?
Basically, I'm looking for something that is almost like a DJ
application that lets you pull in the FLAC files, do whatever DSP
algorithms you need, and then code them into Vorbis and shove them out a
stream.

Flac live audio stream
Hi, I am looking for a way to stream live audio using the FLAC audio format.
After some analysis myself I found various lossy alternatives, also in higher levels of kbps (like MP3 320 kbps). But I do want to challenge and be sure whether FLAC might be a possibility.
So I am specifically looking for an encoder and server solution supporting live streaming FLAC audio.
Do you have a

libshout-2.3.1 release with Opus support
All,
I've made a new release of libshout. Greg Maxwell contributed support
for the Opus audio codec (opus-codec.org). Tested with gstreamer and
oggfwd as source clients, and playback with Firefox Nightly and 'curl |
opusdec'. Thanks, Greg.
There are no other updates; in particular webm streaming still requires
the caller limit the send rate.
The source package is available:

Dropped / Duplicate Frames
Hi all,
I've been playing with Theora this week and have hacked together a test
program (http://www.firestorm.cx/live1/) that can encode live video (no
audio) from a V4L* source that supports the YUV420 pixel format.
Now encoding Theora ain't exactly a speedy process, and sometimes frames
get lost during capturing. What I'd like to be able to do is tell
libtheora that the next few

ffmpeg2theora icecast ubuntu edgy
Hi,
I just wanna share with you my experience with theora ffmpeg2theora,
icecast2 and ubuntu edgy. I wanted to broadcast live video on an Ubuntu
machine with ffmpeg2theora, oggfwd and icecast2.
I read the thread
http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/icecast/2005-February/008608.html about
the stream dying after a couple seconds with libshout 2.0.
Now the same happens if you use libshout3 v2.2 with

Need a help on Online Video Streaming using IceCast
Hello,
We are working on the Radio station project and we are trying to implement
the Live Video Streaming module using Icecast server with VLC player.
We have installed and configured the Icecast into our server. Also, we have
installed the VLC player in our local desktop computer.
The USB webcam(200 CMOS UCAM - DLC220T) has been connected into my machine.
Now we are trying to live video

Fsck, parent transid verify failed
Hi folks!
Been using btrfs for quite a while now, worked great until now.
Got power-loss on my machine and now i have the "parent transid verify
failed on X wanted X found X" problem.
So I can''t get it to mount.
My btrfs is spread over sda (2tb), sdc(2tb), sdd(1tb).
Is this something that an offline fsck could fix ?
If so is the fsck-util being developed ?
Is there a way to

Stream HD video
I agree I have not seen any H264 streaming info for icecast2.
If you are however interested in using ogg/vorbis (Theora) look up Theora
Streaming Studio in the Theora Cookbook and it will give you some info.
Additionally if you wish to script this task you can look up the info on the
three commands TSS wraps, specifically dvgrab/ffmpeg2theora/oggfwd. if your
source file is in a h264 medium you
