multiple instances?
Hello, unosonic, Okay, we'll do it this way as it appears to be the only sane way... THIS is the xml config file that I've been using for ONE STREAM ONLY. No more than one stream nor any other port on that single stream, for that matter, has ever worked to date. There also seems to be alot of clutter but as I've NEVER had to use these oddball format files before (in any of my 30

Icecast mount points help
Hi Mark, Add extensions to all of your mountpoints for the appropriate audio codec/format you're using. For example, <mount-name>/test.opus</mount-name> for an Ogg/Opus stream. Don't forget to add extensions in the <fallback-mount> sections, too. I didn't look too closely at your config otherwise, that error was standing out. Cheers, Jordan P.S. Please

Regarding fallback mount points.
Hi all. I finally got my automating stream working. now, I do have a question for you all regarding fallback mount. I believe I have them setup correctly. but what I would want to do is when I go to http://kjscradio.com:8000/stream.mp3.m3u, I would like it to fallback to the mount point that I have setup for my automation stream. Then, when a source drops the connection from the /stream.mp3.m3u

Marc, Lines with a <!-- and --> are commented and not used. You need to remove these around the mount items. The <<!-- looks like it needs fixing. Problem with fallback on 2.31 on Windows XP
If this isn't supported, then I apologize for the disruption, I'll just tell my customer / client / friend it's time to seriously rethink what they're trying to do. If support is possible, here's the problem: I took a running icecast.xml file from a configuration that works. It has live, backup, and listener (called /broadband) mount points. A continuously running stream

Newbie
I am using Winamp, Icecast2 Server, and Edcast. I believe I have set these up properly so that I can set up and broadcast an internet radio station. These are the links I used to help me: https://www.pcworld.com/article/190705/start_your_own_internet_radio_station_for_free.html https://www.fastserv.com/kb/article/edcast_winamp_-_easy_steps_to_streaming_to_icecast_or_shoutcast/

Problem with fallback on 2.31 on Windows XP
Could you post the config you used with comments? Currently there is at least one closing comment tag without a opening tag as far as I can see, which is confusing. If that is the file you are using, maybe you accidentally commented it out? Despite that it should works, but all of the paths in the config need to be adjusted for Windows! <fallback-override>
Hello! I have a fallback mount point with <fallback-override>. When my source client reconnects, the media player is moved mack to the right mount point but the media players I have tried (mplayer and VLC) keep playing the fallback. Is this because of my source client (liquidsoap), icecast or the media players? I think I noticed some message in mplayer about mime type or something.

problem creating a systemd service
Hello! Icecast behaves oddly for me in debian testing, somehow the permissions on my log file directory was set to root:adm if I remember things right. Also there was no systemd service starting when I tried to start from /etc/init.d, somehow init services refer to systemd services nowadays whether they exist or not. I tried to create a systemd service looking like this: [Unit]
