Fwd: Merging jorbis upstream and the cortado jorbis fork back into one
Of interest to some on the list.
Anyone familiar enough with Java to know how we go about
detecting/using/incorporating an external Jorbis build into the
Cortado jar ?
Or are we supposed to download sources into our tree and build the whole ?

Metadata and bad player behaviour : cut sound for short time when receiving metadata (kh versions of ices/icecast)
Hello,
I was trying to add metadata to my OGG stream (ices 2,0-kh59, icecast
2.0-kh51).
It works... but the players are doing a small sound cut at metadata
reception :
- VLC (maybe 1/3sec cut)
- JORBIS (java. maybe 1/10sec, because I can have set higher priority to
sound processing and not to comment handling)
(player plateform: Mac OS X 1.3.6)
With VLC... I can say comments are unusable,

Flash Vorbis player
Hi,
I wanted to let you know that I have just made available the sources
to the ogg + vorbis implementation in haXe, which I've been working on
for last couple of weeks. The code compiles to an swf file playable in
Flash Player 10.
A demo of a simple player implementation (latest Flash 10 required):

Good day,
My name is Walter, admin of our Dutch Internet Radio station Radio Carpe Diem.

We are operating with a chatbox on mIRC www.ircworld.nl #CarpeDiem
In this room we used to run an eggdrop linking our stream, but now it accures that it won't run on our new

Moving clients and JOrbis
I'm having trouble with the "Move clients" command in the admin
interface.
All the clients using JOrbis (a java vorbis decoder) just stop playing,
and don't switch to the new stream. I'll assume this is a JOrbis problem
rather than Icecast2; has anyone else had trouble with this combination
before?
Thanks.

Hello all,
We (at ibiblio.org) are evaluating several projects and products for
getting good analytics from icecast. Specifically, we have explored

low-bitrate streams and pure Java Ogg Vorbis player
Hi there,
I have developed pure Java Ogg Vorbis decoder, JOrbis.
By the recent improvements on JOribs, its 'simple' player, JOrbisPlayer, will
enable you to enjoy low-bitrate/mono streams on the web browser with
J2SE 1.3(or later)Plug-in; Java plug-in;
I have provided digitally signed JOrbisPlayer at

RE: Vorbis-dev Digest, Vol 16, Issue 10 ogg streaming
Thanks for the reply.. I am very new to this field (streaming players) have
some experience in java/php/vb, however would like to know from you experts
where/how to start...what is the best option, what I am looking at is
something like the jorbis player; we simply place the url and it plays the
stream...the idea is to cut off all the other unnecessary stuff, and to just
get the simple code which

Multiple Mounts (streams) Managed by Virtual Sound Board
All,
I am looking for a way to manage multiple streams (mounts) by a virtual
sound board. For example:
mount-baltimore.ogg --> virtual channel 1
mount-philly.ogg --> virtual channel 2
mount-pitt.ogg --> virtual channel 3
mount-new-york.ogg --> virtual channel 4
Main Virtual Out (speaker output) --> Physical Channel 1
Any ideas?
Thanks

16bit vs. 24bit
I bought this recently
http://www.amazon.com/Tascam-US-100-USB-Audio-Interface/dp/B002QQC1ZI
But i have been thinking maybe it would have been better to get a 24bit
version
http://tascam.com/product/us-600/images/
I guess i am streaming at a lower quality, but if i were recording the 24
bit would be better no?
Thoughts?
