Icecast2 Station with multiple scheduled DJs?
I have been playing with Icecast only for a couple of days, and I am trying to figure out how to do something. I want a listener to have to only deal with one stream, but I want to be able to switch the source of that stream between multiple sources (DJs). The core idea is that the listener only deals with /live.mp3 while in the background I can problematically switch between a series of live

Icecast2 Station with multiple scheduled DJs?
At WXBH-LP we had a similar need, and we solved it using mpd (music player daemon) to coordinate our feed to icecast. mpd is a music player (supporting playlists, etc.) originally designed for local network streaming, but it has several attributes that make it suitable for other things: * Items in its playlists can be local audio files or remote streams (e.g. DJ streams). * It

Hot Fallover
Hello List: Recently our shorewall FW server went dead (PS failure) & brought the entire system down. Luckily we are testing the FW and other servers, so we did not loose anything. Now we have decided to setup two Shorewall FW servers with a primary & another fallover FW server. I have done some research cruised the Internet and found that a product ''UCARP''

Help with building config icecast.xml file
Hi all. I'm having some difficulty in writing the config file. I've had this working in the past, but Im failing miserably on it this time. This is the setup I need: /Stream - Always there, flash mp3 player pulls from it. /autodj - ices will be pushing audio to this 24/7 /dj1 - this is the mount a dj connects to when they want to go live /djoverride - this mount has priority over

Samba and W2K printer issues
I posted this query a couple of days ago and received no responses. SInce that time, some other info has come to light that I thought would be useful to helping to solve this porblem. My network consists of a firewall machine networked with a SuSE 7.2 workstation and a Windows 2000 workstation. My smb.conf file is below: # Samba config file created using SWAT # from 127.0.0.1 (127.0.0.1) # Date:

plotting with an its object
Dear R People: I have an its object. The original its is the Dow Jones Industrial average from March 23, 1990 to March 23, 2000. I did the following; dj1 = original series >dj2 <- log(dj1) >ddj2 <- diff(dj2) > Ok so far. Now I would like to plot this series with a certain y limit: >min(ddj2) [1] -0.07454905 >max(ddj2) [1] 0.04860535 >plot(ddj2,ylim=c(-0.1,0.1)) Error

source switching using two servers.
Hello, I'm trying to get some automated stream switching between a handful of sources on a private icecast server to one public icecast server relaying one of the sources depending on the time of day, updated by a script. The private server is for the handful of sources to test their stream, monitor and such. both the private and public icecast config files are fairly straight forward.

Auto rotation on day/hour or dump possible?
Hi Philipp, Thank you, thats good news that the log on date rotation is in the new version 2.5. And can you indicate what you are waiting for before making it the stable 2.5 release? And in which version of openssl does this problem no longer occur? Sorry for straying from the original question :-) Best regards, Michel > Op 26-06-2023 17:11 CEST schreef Philipp Schafft <phschafft at

Shorewall under xen
Hi All It''s about time to upgrade my shorewall routers again so thinking of possible changes. In our main office have managed switches and 5 xen servers. I''m thinking of running the firewall/router under xen. Don''t have all the details figured out but this is roughly what I''m thinking of: Set up separate vlan for the two isps and plug isps into the switch.

Auto rotation on day/hour or dump possible?
Hi Philipp, Okay that's also a nice solution rename the log file and reload icecast. Only it may be that the file size has been reached, turning off archive then is this option is the best way! Thanks The wrapper works well so far. And also retaining the original log files. I check the the Linux machine for the ssl problem for 2.4.4 and 2.5 beta. It is Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster) OpenSSL

mountpoint fallback support
I just was looking at the CVS nightly build of the icecast2\src\source.c and see that the mountpoint fallback is now implemented (compared to the 2.0.0 release's source.c) I was hoping to use this feature to support a multi-home radio station that has a master mountpoint stream and offsite "guest" mountpoints. These guest mountpoints would attach on a scheduled based and,
