Make error durring compilation of OpenSSH 4.3p1 on HP-UX 11.00
Hi, compilation of OpenSSH 4.2p1 / OpenSSL 0.9.8a / zlib 1.2.3 worked fine on Linux i386 / x86_64, SunOS, AIX and HP-UX. Compilation of OpenSSH 4.3p1 / OpenSSL 0.9.8a / zlib 1.2.3 works fine now only on Linux i386 / x86_64, SunOS, AIX. But on HP-UX 11.00 (gcc 3.3.2), "make" produces following... Outlook 2000 & attachments
Hi, I'm using Outlook 2000 under Wine 20050111. Generally things work great, apart from one very annoying problem - whenever I try to open a message with an attachment, Outlook crashes. I'm connecting via exchange and it doesn't seem to matter what sort of attachment it is - it simply crashes as soon as I click on the message. Anyone had any similar problems and know a workaround?

rsync-2.6.8 hangs on AIX
We're copying a large number of 256MiB-files from one AIX-5.3 machine to anoter, using rsync-2.6.8 (with ssh). In the morning, the rsync process stopped to copy any more files (it is still hanging as I write this, and we can leave it alone for a couple of days). There is another machine in between that forwards all tcp packets to the target machine: SOURCE (rsync -z --rsh=ssh

[LLVMdev] compile error with HowToUseJIT
Hi all! I have installed LLVM 1.9 under FreeBSD and read the documentation. Problem: examples/HowToUseJIT fails to compile. I entered the following command in the directory /usr/home/x/llvm1.9/examples/HowToUseJIT : gmake ENABLE_OPTIMIZED=0 It stops after producing object files (.o) without comment. When I enter the following (from the documentation): g++ `llvm-config --ldflags` -o HowToUseJIT

"Live-CD" with Firefox + XiphQT?
Hy, I want to create a CD-ROM which includes Firefox 1.5.0.7 for MacOS X and is intended to be run solely on an intel-based Mac. It should already come with the XiphQT-plugin so that no installtion is needed. I want to be able to put the CD-ROM into the drive, double-click on "start-MacOS-Firefox.app" and have a fully operational Firefox with XiphQT-support - no matter if Firefox or

(no subject)
I have a rather complex access setup for my users home-directories. This is because a) All users have to be able to read other users files (minus some private folders) b) Some users additionally have write access to specific (not: all!) home-directories So a user Joe also has a group called 'Joe' with members Joe, Tim and Kate. Hence, Joe, Tim and Kate may write to /home/joe. I do this

frequency tables and sorting by rowSum
Dear list, I have some trouble generating a frequency table over a number of vectors. Creating these tables over simple numbers is no problem with table() > table(c(1,1,1,3,4,5)) 1 3 4 5 3 1 1 1 , but how can i for example turn: 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 1 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 1 0 0 into 0 0 1 1 1 0 0 2 0 1 0 3 My second problem is, sorting rows and columns of a matrix by the rowSums/colSums. I did it

Samba 3.0.20 acls not working anymore and problem with winbindd_idmap.tdb
Hi Folks, I am experiencing some problems with samba 3.0.20 which I can not solve on my own. We have updated from samba 3.0.10 to samba 3.0.20, but I am not sure when the problems started. We had a problem with idmap - I had hoped to solve - before. Whenever we rebooted the server, all of the ACLs got jumbled up. I thought that our winbindd_idmap.tdb somehow got broken. I re-created it, but

2 bugs in max.col() (PR#9542)
Dear R-Developers, I think I found two bugs in max.col(). Ties between zeros are not broken, which might affect simulations. -Inf and Zero can be treated the same, which can give completely wrong results, e.g. when the second max is sought by replacing all maxs by -Inf. To fix max.col I do offer the C-code behind my function rowMax(), which also handles NAs and seems to be faster. However,

[LLVMdev] Python bindings for LLVM API
Hi, I would like to share my experimental LLVM API Python bindings with the LLVM enthusiasts. I have created Boost.Python wrappers largely for the VMCore interface and other selected interfaces (e.g. ExecutionEngine). The bindings provide direct runtime access to the LLVM bytecode and JIT execution features from Python. The bindings are complete enough so that one can e.g. run the Fibonacci

[LLVMdev] Python bindings for LLVM API
Jarno, This looks like it could be very valuable - thanks for making it available. Just out of curiosity, do you have any specific uses in mind for which you created these bindings? --Vikram http://www.cs.uiuc.edu/~vadve http://llvm.cs.uiuc.edu/ On Feb 23, 2005, at 5:21 PM, Jarno Seppänen wrote: > Hi, > > I would like to share my experimental LLVM API Python bindings with >

Index mapping on arrays
Dear R-community, I have some trouble with index mappings for arrays. If, for example, I have the array R> A <- array(1:9, c(3,3,2)) and two index mappings both of same size R> x <- c(2, 3) R> y <- c(1, 2) Now I want to access the elements (A[1, x[i], y[i]])_i of A, i.e. A[1, x[1], y[1]] = A[1, 2, 1] and A[1, x[2], y[2]] = A[1, 3, 2]. If I use R> A[1, x, y] I would get

Hostbased authentication without known_hosts file?
Hi, is there any way to use hostbased authentication without the need to have the SSH host keys stored in a known_hosts file? We run a large cluster where we need to have passwordless remote login available. We currently do that with hostbased SSH authentication. But it is error-prone and a lot of work to keep the known_hosts file up to date on all hosts. (This is the same situation like DNS vs

calculate difference of consecutive cells in vector
Hi in dataframe I want to subtract the "next" value in the list from the former one to get this: name var1 output a 9 506 b 515 512 c 1027 453 so I subtract: table$var1[2]-table$var1[1] and write it into table$output[1] etc.. I did this with: for (i in 1:(length(table$var1)){ table$output[i] <- table$var1[i+1]-table$var1[i] } it works
