Official Icecast`s protocol
Hello,
I try to write application on the ARM microcontroler which has to receive
mp3 streams (from Icecast server), decode (I have already implemented mp3
decoder) and of course play them:). To be able to do it I need to get
official Icecast`s specification/description.
I only know that Icecast`s client-server communication is done by the HTTP
protocol. But unfortunately I do not know what

let's separate "what" and "how".
I do not speak abot "how" right now, because it is rather
a second step (if any).
I do believe that reflections without interpreter or JITing
can't be any powerfull.

Hardware IAX phone (please read and reply!)
Hello all!
I've talked recently to the head of R&D dept. of Telkom Telos
(www.telos.com.pl) - a big Polish company specialised in making
phones. I gave them the idea of creating a cheap (cost-effective)
hardware IP phone. The phone we discussed would include hardware
support for IAX (though probably SIP/sth. else would be required too
if it were to hit the market.. what do you

[Bridge] [RELEASE] ebtables-brnf-3-vs-2.4.22 and ebtables-2-0-6
Hi,
At http://sourceforge.net/projects/ebtables/ you can find the following new
releases:
ebtables-brnf-3-vs-2.4.22
Changes:
- let iptables see VLAN tagged IP traffic
- bugfix for queued packets that get mangled in userspace
- ebt_among module (Grzegorz Borowiak)
- ebt_limit module (Tom Marshall)
The patch compiles but I've done no further tests, but I probably didn't screw
up.

analysing data with case weights: rejoinder
Hello,
Based on replies (which I'm gratefull for) I guess the only solution
is to create a package, that will contain function to build
lm()-like linear models, and allow weighting cases (as I described
two days ago).
This would also alow buliding those models for data in aggregated
form without a need for using e.g. expand$grid().
Thank you again for replies.

$HOME instead of pw->pw_dir question.
Hello.
I have one, small question.
There are any security reasons to not use a getenv("HOME")
instead of pw->pw_dir in ssh.c and tildexpand.c to find
user home directory?

[LLVMdev] Use of custom operations after DAG legalization
I've been working on a backend for a 16-bit microcontroller and I've just updated my base from LLVM 3.4 to LLVM 3.5.0. This threw up a regression failure in my test suite, and having tracked down the cause, I'm now confused about the DAG legalization and optimization process which I thought I understood. I'd be really grateful for advice on whether I've misunderstood how

Open Source Research
Hi.
My name is Kyrre Myrbostad and I'm studying information systems (IS) at
the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, in Trondheim. I am
writing my master thesis on the subject of Open Source Software, with a
particular focus on methods of organisation and techniques for
exchanging information and knowledge.
It would help me a lot in my research if I could have a short
