Metadata in non UTF-8 encoding support (patch)
i'd be happy with any solution.
XML listings of streams often have parse errors due to non UTF-8
characters in the metadata.
(My own quick and dirty fix was for XSL to generate plain-text output..)

decreasing log messages
Hi,
Since I use "/usr/sbin/dovecot --exec-mail imap" from mutt I get a lot
of these in my syslog:
Apr 3 11:09:33 zenon IMAP(ldm): : Connection closed bytes=36/256
Is it possible to suppress them while keeping the "remote users"

Hardware requirements question.
I have a Dell PowerEdge 4300 server with dual Zenon 550 MHz processors,
SCSI controller with four 9MB drives and 1 GB of RAM. I want to develop
an asterisk pbx with 4 POTS lines in and 16 analog extensions (no VOIP).
I also will install a sound card for an intercom. Is this hardware
sufficient if using a Digium TDM2400P?

courier-dovecot-migrate.pl issue
Hi,
I'm testing migration from courier to courier-0.57.0 to
dovecot-imap-1.1.12 on a debian/sid box.
When running the migration script, non of the active users'
"courierimapsubscribed" and "courierimapuiddb" files seem to be
detected:

quickfix for building zaptel with 2.6.24?
Hi,
I am trying to build zaptel 1.4.8 with kernel 2.6.24 on debian/sid:
zenon:~# module-assistant -t build zaptel
make[3]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.24.3'
scripts/Makefile.build:46: *** CFLAGS was changed in "/usr/src/modules/zaptel/Makefile". Fix it to use EXTRA_CFLAGS. Stop.
Is there a quickfix out there?
Thanks,

Postscript output encoding on Windows
With R 2.3.1 on Windows, I've noticed that it defaults to the
"WinAsci.enc" encoding, which throws up an error when viewed with the
default install of GhostScript/GSView (versions 8.51/4.7 respectively).
I didn't have this problem prior to upgrading to 2.3.1 as I can view all
my old PS graphs and they don't have the WinAsci encoding. I've got

Diva 4BRI, asterisk and capidrv support ?
Hello,
I acquired a Diva Server 4BRI for an AsteriskPBX system and installed a
2.4.20 kernel modified with the latest eicon capi2.0 support from
www.melware.net.
Capi support seems to work fine: Asterisk+chan_capi answers the calls.
However if I try to use my old isdnutils apps by loading a i4l
compatibility layer then I have the following problems:
- if I use the diva2i4l module and start the

Question on Stopword Removal from a Cyrillic (Bulgarian)Text
Hi,
I bumped into a serious issue while trying to analyse some texts in
Bulgarian language (with the tm package). I import a tab-separated csv
file, which holds a total of 22 variables, most of which are text cells
(not factors), using the read.delim function:
data<-read.delim("bigcompanies_ascii.csv",
header=TRUE,
quote="'",

Grumpf. Linking is a fine thing for space economy, but for chroot
I wish everything was static and monolithic and self-contained.

ices-2.0.0 compile problems
Hi Zenon,
It seems likely to me that you still have libshout 1.x installed. Try
stripping all remnants of libshout out from /usr/(local/)include and
/usr/(local/)lib and then (re)install libshout 2.0, downloadable from
http://downloads.us.xiph.org/releases/libshout/libshout-2.0.tar.gz
(NB: this in turn requires libogg and libvorbis.)

Confusion supreme
I should add that in /var/lib/glusterd/vols/gv0/gv0-shd.vol and
in all other configs in /var/lib/glusterd/ on all three machines
the nodes are consistently named
client-2: zephyrosaurus
client-3: alvarezsaurus
client-4: nanosaurus
This is normal. It was the second time that a brick was removed,
so client-0 and client-1 are gone.
So the problem is the file attibutes themselves. And there I see

new box can't join domain since switch to ldapsam
Hello,
Since changing to "passdb backend = ldapsam" on my debian unstable PDC
things work well, however a new winxp machine can't join the domain.
Here is the /var/log/samba/log.smbd output. It seems the sticking point
is about a missing user RID? (the new machine is sylla).
Thanks in advance for any hints as to what may be wrong, cheer,
