strange processes are happening while trying to authenticate via url using (icecastauth-examle-1.0) i'm using user "test" and password "test". I'm opening http://10.10.10.10:8000/Test.m3u with winamp 5.1. This user(test) exists in mysql database, and action.php suscessfuly extracts that user from database. here's what I receive in icecast error log: 2006-01-29

net ads join's generated keytab and solaris
Hey all. I am working on getting solaris 10 and 9 clients authenticating to active directory. We have a test setup with windows 2003 r2 and the unix fields filled out. All was going well with a combination of pam_krb5 and nss_ldap and ldap mappings, including working automouting of home directories. This included orginally, set up instructions from microsoft where they said to create a user

URL authentication
Isn't there anybody who has at least an idea what might be causing this? Or is URL authentication no longer considered a functional part of Icecast? / Peter Bengtson 2 sep 2006 kl. 11.29 skrev Peter Bengtson: > I can't get URL authentication to work. URL authentication
The icecast server isn't on a Mac, it just connects to a Mac for the authentication. Icecast is running on a Debian machine. And packet sniffing shows very clearly no packets leaving the icecast server. 8 sep 2006 kl. 13.39 skrev Klauss Fumuldavijus: > i think you'll have to sniff some packets going between icecast > server and wherever.tld > don't know will it work on

oh, well, there are plenty of cacti/munin plugins for icecast listener stats. google should help you finding some. Event Triggers on 2.5 beta1

I?m currently using listener authentication to track listener_add and listener_remove, but using this method I seem to get a lot of spurious entries. So I wondered if events would

URL authentication not working
Icecast 2.4.1 and 2.4.2, OS: CentOS 6.6 x64 Tried to install icecast using following two different methods described in these links: (1) http://www.ukhost4u.co.uk/blog/538/install-icecast-2-centos-6-server/ (2) https://www.servint.net/university/article/taking-the-chill-out-of-installing-icecast/ Both of these resulted in working and stable icecast, but without the possibility of url

Icecast URL authentication problem
Hi, If you're running icecast in a jail root (chroot enabled), then you may not have a properly setup DNS resolver. Maybe this post will point you in the right direction: http://icecast.xiph.narkive.com/5v2EeNBD/eror-no-dns <http://icecast.xiph.narkive.com/5v2EeNBD/eror-no-dns> Kind regards, KJ > Op 3 jun. 2015, om 22:34 heeft infoweb1 at crobiz.com het volgende geschreven: >

URL authentication
Hi all, The URL authentication is great for reducing the administration overhead in running one or more icecast instances for lost of mountpoints and lots of listeners. However because the URL authentication is <mount> specific you still need to create a mountpoint for each (in our case) customer. Would it be possible to have a global URL authentication section which would apply to

URL authentication
Does your instance of icecast have CURL support compiled in? Without it authentication doesn't work I think. Furthermore, if you're running icecast in a chroot jail then you need to make sure the curl shared libraries are installed in the chroot jail as well. URL authentication
In my case that's not needed, but yes it would be really nice if all mount options could be retrieved from the database using an authenticated URL. Help with Icecast core dump
I need help with an icecast coredump (Signal 10, Bus Error) I keep getting. I finally got the thing to generate a core file and I ran the degugger to get a stack trace. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I checked 4 dumps and they are all at the same place. Since it looked like it was in the auth code, I turned the auth more off for now. I was runnning with: <mount>

Secure Connection Failed
Hello, I hope this question hasn't been asked and answered too often before. I have installed Icecast and have it working. I'm now trying to make it work with https. I've configured it as per instructions - at least, I believe I have - and when it try to connect to it, I get an error page that says: Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to www.<my

Problem with fallback on 2.31 on Windows XP
Could you post the config you used with comments? Currently there is at least one closing comment tag without a opening tag as far as I can see, which is confusing. If that is the file you are using, maybe you accidentally commented it out? Despite that it should works, but all of the paths in the config need to be adjusted for Windows!
