They are all available officialy, but tthey need to be validated to integrated official distribution (either Sid, or Etch). Feel free to try them out. want to write comments
Hi, I am a littlt new developper, I learn Python and C. I was looking for some command line program similar to vorbiscomment. I did not find. I would just try to write a very simple one in C or Python. That would be a simple parse of the first bits of the file, if my guesses are right. But where could I see the amout of binary bit I should open, and how is the signification of any fields I would

concatenate ogg/theora files
Hi, I have multiple ogg/theora files, with different bitrate. That is the big problem, because I want to broadcast them using ezstream/icecast and the connection between ezstream and icecast is always lost when switching between files. They have the same resolution but different quality. Is there a tool to concatenate/normalize several files to a big homogeneous one? -- A powerfull GroupWare,

shout python
Hi, I discovered shout-python. I use it to straem theora to an icecast server. But works quite right except some times, it hangs, with no reasons. I built it against libshout 2.2 The server i an IceCast 2.3.1 I have some notes: The stream type, in the example could be vorbis | mp3. Wouldn't it be the time to change it to ogg | mp3? As well as theora can be in a ogg. Is there any known

Kernel Error with Icecast
I currently have Icecast 2.3.1 running with Darkice on a Fedora Core 4 box (with the 2.6.14 kernel). We have three streams running (all mp3) @ 128kbs, 64kbs, and 24kbs. I am consistently seeing the following error: kernel: Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address ffffffff It does appear to be icecast causing the error. Oddly, when this first started showing up, it would

Unofficial Icecast HOWTO posted
It should. I just tried it out my own instructions after letting them go a few days. I didn't want them fresh in my mind. I simply copied the configs and played dumb (not too hard). I then started up my playlist server and am listening to it right now. I tested out the streaming stuff a few days ago with good results. Hope it works out as well for you all. Relaying between icecast 2.3 servers
Hello! I just searched the list, but i can't find a solution. I have 2 icecast 2.3 server. One should be the master, the other one should become a slave, to be able to distribute the load. But the slave server does not learn any mountpoints. The main problem seem to be, that the the URL http://streamingserver:8000/admin/streamlist.txt just returns a empty

How to fix broken ogg/theora files
Hi there, I haven't been on this list until now, so I wasn't aware of this problem until last night ;-) - sorry for that. I am working on a patch for oggCut for that issue (looks good actually but I would like to do some testing befor I can release a patch.) Looking for a better way
Okay, so here is what I have now. I am setting up an icecast server for our customers to use for streaming audio -- in particular there will be a couple of radio stations in town using it. I want it to run on a cluster of systems for redundancy. So I have the server running on two identical machines on one ip that is dedicated to streaming services, behind a foundry switch. The foundry switch

Icecast2 Relays/Mounts - Adding without Restarting Server
Is it at all possible to add Icecast2 Relays or Mounts without having to restart the server, and thus drop all the other existing connections in the process?
