Your ideas ...
I am looking for ideas on how to best webcast public meetings. The general idea is to allow folks to easily send their live or recorded meeting audio up to a server via their browser. My goal is to present an alternative to more expensive video webcasting for small local government and community groups that want to "double" their audience from 10 people a the room with a net

Ices0 and ShoutCast (and KiSS)
I have successfully set up a system with Ices0.4 and IceCast2.20 (and Tunez). It plays well using mpg123 or WinAmp. But I would like to use also my KiSS DVD player for the stream, and I have not been able to do so - It appearently needs 110% SHOUTcast compatibility. So I tried the IceCast2.3.1 - but it still didn't like the KiSS (or the other way around). In stead, I have added a SHOUTcast

live video windows
Hi, Does Icecast2.3 handle wmv (windows media video) format streams? I need to set up a live streaming service. It is important that no additional software should be installed on client side, so either need a flash player (or java based player if we have nothing else) or a format that can be played with the default Windows Media Player. If it supports such things what software can I use to

XSL Content-type
Hello! I have created XLS stylesheet that generetes .m3u list of streaming content via my icecast2 server. That is just simple remake of status.xsl. But I got stuck. When I request it via http://serever/list.xsl - my winamp doesnot accept the m3u generated file. I began to research. The main problem is "Content-type" which gives me the icecast. It gives me text\html and I need

Server question - if you had ...
Hi all, Ok, how about this one. If you had $300 to spend on bandwidth, where would you buy it? I'm looking for a good dedicated bandwidth deal. Release of libvirt-0.8.2
Following Dan advice, I decided to not wait for more patches and push the current git head as the release. Let's plan to have another release by this month end with the QEmu debugging and hacking APIs. The release is available as usual at ftp://libvirt.org/libvirt Quite a lot of bug fixes during the two months since 0.8.1, and a few new feature. It also tagged more commits as being

Ices0 and ShoutCast (and KiSS)
Hi, The problem the other way around: IceS -> IceCast -> ShoutCast -> KiSS (the KiSS then decodes the mp3 to a RAW SPDIF stream, which is received by my sourround receiver). But the constallation is somewhat overkill and slightly unstable, so I would prefer just IceS -> IceCast -> KiSS But that does not work at all for unknown reasons (since shoutcast can do this, and the

Patches to enable logging of sftp and scp
Hi all, Looking around for a way to turn on server side logging of files transferred via sftp/scp, these kept-up-to-date patches cropped up: For SFTP http://sftplogging.sourceforge.net For SCP http://sweb.cz/v_t_m/ (near the bottom) Would someone from the OpenSSH team have time/inclination enough to look at adding these to OpenSSH itself? network namespace for multiple overlapping nat networks?
I have noticed that you can't have multiple separate NAT style libvirt networks defined with the same private IP blocks. For example I have this default network: <network> <name>default</name> <uuid>13baf167-02ff-4312-928c-b82ed4df5785</uuid> <forward mode='nat'> <nat> <port start='1024' end='65535'/>

Decent How-To now on the wiki for setting up Transport Layer Security
Hi all, For anyone that's interested in setting up TLS with libvirt, but hasn't gotten around to it yet, there's a decent guide on the wiki now: http://wiki.libvirt.org/page/TLSSetup It's user focused (ie SysAdmin's), and has lots of pics explaining concepts, plus shows what needs to be done, and shows how to do it. Please note, it doesn't cover SASL, it's just

Anyone interested in forming a libvirt "docs" team?
Hi all, There's a lot of documentation for libvirt that needs improving, so wondering if anyone would be interested in forming a libvirt "docs" team to help make that happen? While some of the documentation needs people familiar with specific pieces of libvirt, there's also a lot that doesn't, and just needs people with some free time and willingness to help. Anyone up for
