[GVN] same sequence of instructions in if and else branch
Hello,
I found that GVN doesn't promote identical sequence of instructions in if and else branch to their common predecessors. For example, for the following code snippet
pred:
…
br i1 %cmp, label %if, label %else
if:
%incdec.ptr.1 = getelementptr inbounds i8, i8* %ptr, i64 1
%cast1 = ptrtoint i8* %incdec.ptr.1 to i64
…
else:
%incdec.ptr.2 = getelementptr inbounds i8, i8* %ptr,

[GVN] same sequence of instructions in if and else branch
There is a phi-node "%phi = phi i64 [%cast1, %if], [%cast2, %else]" in the common successor. The actual control flow is a bit more complex, but there is a common successor block, and %cast1 and %cast2 are the two values that the phi node in the common successor takes.
Does the existence of the phi node affect optimization?
Thanks,
Taewook

and by "right thing" i mean it can hoist if you want and it can prove it
will not extend the live range.
Note that VBE (very busy expressions) is a code size optimization only. It
does not save time.

What is required to get the mwi to work? Is it more of a phone subject
or *? I have the mailbox= line in sip.conf, but only one extension is
named, and in some of the examples, I have seen that there are two...
What is that all about and how does it affect the extensions.conf and
voicemail.conf?
Thanks again.....

The basic format is shared with Vorbis, but the 'magic signature' is
different ('OpusTags' instead of '0x05vorbis') and vorbis puts a 0x01
value in an extra byte after the last tag.
The OpusTag packet layout is described in

Compatibility with NetApp DataONTAP filers?
Good ${time of the day}
I have just been wondering if anyone would know if Samba is compatible with the CIFS implementation of the Network Appliance DataONTAP filers?
http://www.netapp.com/products/filer/ontap.html
I have so far unable to connect to any shared folder on the NetApp filer that require authentication. An attempt to access or list shared resources on the NetApp filer fails with the

Possible Filesystem Corruption with Samba 3.0.25a (with XFS and LVM)
Hello!
A few days ago I received a filesystem memory corruption notification
from Debian's Linux kernel (2.6.20), which automatically unmounted my
root partition. Upon closer investigation, I found that something had
overwritten most of my data, XFS's superblocks and other metadata
structures. That means from partition offset 0x200. At the time of the
error, the only services I was using

faxes received on mISDN
Hi,
My initial setup for receiving faxes worked as follows:
fax call arrives on ISDN BRI connected to a BOSCH PBX, signal sent to ALCATEL PBX via PRI QSIG then finally sent to ASTERISK via PRI EUROISDN. The Asterisk server then forwarded the call to a iaxmodem and HylaFax received the data. All worked fine.
Now I got rid of both BOSCH and ALCATEL in the "fax path" and it's as

cupsaddsmb rpcclient error
I am running samba 2.2.6 and cups 1.1.16. I can't get cupsaddsmb to
complete successfully. I'm at an end here, I can't think of anything
else to try after 2 weeks of searching the web. It copies the drivers
to the print$ share directory, however the SetPrinter command fails on
the rpcclient command and it returns with an NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL
error. At the SetPrinter failure, it
