I'm trying to get icecast working in windows with ezstream...i know it should be easy enough to figure out lol..i'm new to icecast. i get an error from ezstream...cannot open playlist.m3u...I've made a text file called playlist.m3u and put it in the web directory of icecast...is this the right location? what do i have to put into the playlist to get it up and running? Hi, If you have multiple players installed on your PC/Mac .m3u will always open the last media player who are the default in charge of the extension and mime m3u. On your web site you want maybe to force a link to open real media player or quicktime/itune. You need to create a .pls to force winamp loading the streaming because windows media player won't open .pls etc. If you add a .pls

I'm now trying to use an m3u formatted list to pass to ezstream rather than stdin. Since all of my audio files are in .wav format, and I have oggenc, I see no reason to decode them before ogg encoding them. Is there a configuration I can use to make this happen? No, this is a relay of a Shoutcast server. Everything is configured in https on IceCast ( https://relay2.dgnet.be/ ) , except this value listenurl ( in Admin / Mountpoint) which in cannot change apparently. So the .m3u file is created with an http:// link ( instead of https:// ) But the stream is available and working in https://relay2.dgnet.be:443/different.ogg Danny From: Icecast
