[Bridge] STP Loop not blocking
Recently ran into a problem with the 2.6.18 kernel on Xscale arch when a br=
idge, with multiple interfaces on it, is configured with a redundant loop. =
All interfaces are left on forwarding and nexer switch to block when the lo=
op is introduced. This was tested against a 2.6.16 kernel and the problem d=
id not occur, interfaces forwared and blocked correctly. Any help would be =
appreciated.

ok well i uploaded at a webhosting and no errors are there but it aint displaying any stats....
listeners are currently connected.
Currently playing:
nothing is displayed with it... wht could possibly be wrong now?
must be some settings of the encoder or icecast.. btw i am using winamp and sam plugin also tried
it with sam broadcaster.. the one with encoder nd player ...

Permissions on Samba share for Windows users
I'm working with Samba 3 on my Gentoo box. So far setting up
andconfiguring Samba w/ldap and krb5 support is pretty straight
forwared. My Gentoo box is now a member server of the domain, shows up
in Active Directory.
I can get a kerbereos ticket from our W2K PDC and connect to windows
shares with as little effort as:
smbclient //server/share -k

Hi All,
Someone reccomended using paperclip as a way to easily upload photos.
Basically I want a quick and easy solution to allow users to add a
profile picture.

vsftp and nonpriv_user option question
thhis didnt go through completely the first time.
I am a bit confused as to how this works.
I created a local unpriveleged user (with /bin/nologin shell).
i uncommented the line containing
nopriv_user=ftpsecure
and restarted vsftp.
I am confused as to what is supposed to happen.
Shuld the daemon /usr/sbin/vsftpd be run as root or should it be
ftpsecure?
Or is the account only used to

Problem installing aplications...
Hi! i'm new to wine and i have a problem instaling aplications...
When i start the installer (example:Flash 8) it starts normal and
everything is fine until it starts installing. Insted of copying files
is like it skips the instalation and you can click finish.. I looked at
the directory where it shuld be, but there wasn't any files. Anyone
know how to solve this problem...I want to run

Inherit permissions in Samba2.2.2 on Debian ( potato )
if I set "inherit permissions = Yes" on my share, samba shuld set permisions
for new files like uper directory - true? I'am asking because, I've set this
parameter and nothing is going good. When I make new file in this share the
groupID is set to user groupID whose create this file, but not the guid of
the uper directory. The userID is set corectly.

PRI indications.
Hello,
i have succesfullu setup asterisk with Sangoma E1 card, evrything works well
but i don't know how to pass indications from telco switch to the user - when
users call bad number telco switch shuld talk "unallocated number" but its only
send PRI_CAUSE 1. How to pass voice indications thru asterisk to clients?

Slow Samba transfer

Samba PDC on FreeBSD problem?
Problem: Samba running as a PDC on a FreeBSD, the clients can connect
without computer accounts and browse the shares in the domain.
Should the PDC allow that?
As far as i have understood the PDC should refuse since the computer
does not have a account in the domain regardless that the user have a
user account?
Can it somehow be that i have named the computers as the users, user bob

Rice coding
Going in details through the FLAC format specification, I realize that there
are 2 rice coding methods now supported for residual encoding. I thought I
remembered in the 1.1.3 times that there was only 1 method (with 4-bit Rice
