title streaming with ices
Unfortunately I am still using ices0 because our streams are mp3 streams.
I looked at switching to ogg but many of our listeners have specialized players in devices such as Braille notetakers and other accessible devices that don't work with ogg streams.
This station has 7 streams and runs on a linux server.
Also to my knowledge Stream Licensing doesn't pick up ogg streams very well

title streaming with ices
I have been using ices2 for a few years to send several streams to an Icecast 2.4.1 server (both on Linux machines). All of the streams use a playlist.
All of my streams contain Artist, Title, Album, Date/Year, and Track number when they arrive at the player as long as the file being streamed contains the information.
I have checked all of my streams with Win amp (Windows), Audacious (Windows,

title streaming with ices
Hi all:
Recently Stream Licensing LLC has changed their requirements so that
streaming internet stations in the US must title stream the album along with
the song title and artist.
I use ices for the backup automation when no live programming is taking
place.
Ices shows the song title and artist on the player with no problem.
My question is how I configure ices to show the album as

Raincast, a 'stream helper' I've made. Looking for feedback.
Hello everyone. I've worked on creating a "stream helper" that acts
as a script for Ices 2.0 to use. I've recently completed it and I'm
looking for feedback and comments. The site is at
http://raincast.thedreamrealm.com/ , and here are its features from
the docs:
Raincast is an open-source internet radio utility program written in
C++ which is designed to act as a

Please correct me if I'm wrong but the album title isn't exposed by the status-json file.
I'd really like to be able to expose this as well. I'm using EZStream but I think the configuration / exposure needs to be configured on the Icecast2 side.

Adding more to stats.xml WAS:Source XML for status.xsl
/me grumbles about upcoming finals:
I note that the mountpoint entry displays the current songs title and artist,
but not the album. In the particular case of my station, album is often more
important (recognizable) as there are a variety of pop/classical artists who
do music for anime. So I'd like to add an album nature but am going to need a
quick overview on how stats.xml is generated.

Does ices 0.2.2 show the album name in the meta information, or just
the artist & songname?
Thanks,

Newbie: lambda do...end.should change(Model, :count).by(1). Doesn''t work
Hi to everyone,
I''m an RSpec, and BDD in general, newbie so in order to learn I have
chosen to use my personal website as a tesbed.
I''m having difficulties juggling with mocks, and in particula with the
following code.
Here''s the controller action:

@album = Album.new(params[:album])
if @album.save

Current Listeners count wrong for HTML Audio on Android?
Klaas,
You will find that there often are multiple connections, particularly for
HTML5 audio elements in WebKit browsers as they probe to see if the media
is seekable or not. The multiple connections die out soon after starting
though, leaving you one connection for actually streaming the audio.
You can verify this yourself with a packet sniffer such as Wireshark. It
wouldn't hurt to double

Current Listeners count wrong for HTML Audio on Android?
Hello
I always have had best results encoding the stream .mp3 it works on all
devices. I also suggest the source to be the same or better than your
stream.. this saves in many areas. it sounds like you are possibly
debugging a time lapsed source/ stream.. i did not read all so if this is
not so i apologize

Current Listeners count wrong for HTML Audio on Android?
Dear all,
The problem I am facing, is that one of my clients is concerned about data
usage.
My client monitors the current number of listeners in the Mount Point list
streams.greenhost.nl:8080.
The case is, when I start a stream from an HTML app on an Android device, I
can see two listeners being added to "Current Listeners". This peculiar
behaviour only occurs on Android, not on

listeners
Good Afternoon,
I would like to know how can we be in the ice cast directory in order ice cast can count the listeners that our internet radio station will have.
This is the link where we can see the listeners http://dir.xiph.org/index.php how can we be on that list also?
We will broadcast through ice cast on a linux dedicated server.
Thank you in advance.Alexandra AlexopoulouGreece
