Flash Vorbis player
Hi, I wanted to let you know that I have just made available the sources to the ogg + vorbis implementation in haXe, which I've been working on for last couple of weeks. The code compiles to an swf file playable in Flash Player 10. A demo of a simple player implementation (latest Flash 10 required): http://people.xiph.org/~arek/pg/hx/test.html and the sources, in a bzr branch, currently

Frauenhofer signing off on mp3, ogg stream player for Macs?
If Icecast2 works fine with AAC, shouldn't that be mentioned in the documentation? -- That Jack Elliott (541) 848 7021 KPOV 88.9 FM High Desert Community radio Producer, The Wednesday Point Host, The Sunday Classics On 5/15/2017 3:13 PM, Richard G Elen wrote: > You can send AAC-HE from a streaming client (LadioCast on Mac for > example) to an Icecast server and it'll broadcast

Can't listen to a stream from icecast-kh
Yes, but I'm also unable to read that stream from VLC on OS X and Windows Whamb works on OS X, QCD works on windows. If it is confirmed that VLC is not working with that header, then we may ask VLC team to handle that header ? I downloaded the latest Realplayer, but I'm unable to play my stream... is it really possible? or perhaps it is only for mp3? in that case why not to send that

streaming ogg player embedded in web page
Hi List, For the last week I have been have playing with icecast 2.0.0 and ices for a streaming project I am working. The streaming is working with multiple sources and fallback using XMMS and Winamp as the clients. All work splendidly. Next on my todo list is find a simple Ogg player that I can embed in a webpage and play from the icecast stream. I have so far looked at jlGui Applet 2.2 which

ISO Website-embedded Ogg player
Since Flash has MP3 support built in, it is possible to create a Flash movie that will play a streaming MP3 file. This is useful for when someone wants to have a radio broadcast using MP3 files and they want to create a flash "applet" for playing the broadcast, which could keep the viewer/listener still attached to the website to enjoy other content at the same time. Perhaps such a

Command line mp3 player
I have a CentOS 7 server that I want to use as an audio source for our hold music. It does not have a GUI installed, so I am looking for a program with a command line interface that will let me play a folder full of mp3 files on a continuous loop. MOC seems to do what I want, but I can't find a build for CentOS 7. Is there another program that I can use for this? Thanks. -- Bowie

Player Problems
Hi Everyone, Has anyone come across problems listening back to Mp3 streams using VLC? The reason I ask is that we [ResonanceFM] stream at 128K and at 24K (using two different Icecast instances). All players (Zinf, Winamp, Media Player etc) can play both streams bar VLC which seems to exhibt a skipping (i.e like the sound of a CD) problem when playing the 24K stream. Incidently it plays the 128

Alternative to windows media player?
Hi, I'm installing Wine for the first time on my Mac through MacPorts. I've been reasonably successful and the application that I wanted to use, a training program, runs almost flawlessly :-) It does ask to use Windows Media Player and I did install WMP9 and this installed fine and the application does play the videos. However, these are thumbnail sized. While this isn't a big deal,

IceCast 2.2 MP3 stream and Real Player noise
Two other players that I am aware of that have Icecast2 issues have been VLC and CoreCodec BetaPlayer. I have been in contact with both developer paths and set up test streams for them in an attempt to get this fixed. CoreCodec is in the process of making the necessary changes. I do not know about VLC. I was never able to get confirmation. -greg. At 09:05 2005-06-08, Karl Heyes wrote:

Windows Media Player Crashes
I installed windows media player 9 with winetricks. It worked but no sound. I tried downloading and installing WMP10 and now it will briefly open like 2 secs and then disappear. It does this every time i try to open. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling WMP9 but it also does this open and crash now. I am using Ubuntu 10.10 and was using wine 1.3 but went back to 1.2 thinking that may have

Fwd: Merging jorbis upstream and the cortado jorbis fork back into one
Of interest to some on the list. Anyone familiar enough with Java to know how we go about detecting/using/incorporating an external Jorbis build into the Cortado jar ? Or are we supposed to download sources into our tree and build the whole ? ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Hans de Goede <hdegoede at redhat.com> Date: Thu, 04 Nov 2010 15:31:31 +0100 Subject: Merging jorbis

Another web-based vorbis player
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 This one looks promising: https://core.fluendo.com/flumotion/trac/browser/cortado/trunk/README It is JS-controllable, so if I can force myself to sit down and do some web hacking, I might be able to create a myspace-like player that'll let people select different tracks to listen to. It's not flash, but it seems pretty lightweight. - -ken
