Hello, Pardon me if this turns out to be stupid question. I have an IP address blacklisted in /etc/shorewall/blacklist. I have BLACKLIS_LOGLEVEL not set in /etc/shorewall/shorewall.conf, but I can still see the packages coming from the blacklisted IP logged in /var/log/messages when I do ''tail -f /var/log/messages''. Hi, I am a newbie here. I just tried to set up mp3 streamer server on Redhat Linux 7.2, using icecast and shout. I then tried to connect to the server, from another machine and different LAN, using xmms. And the stream is so sluggish, it gets cuts off for every 2 seconds or so. But I forgot to add the rule to allow smb connection in my /etc/shorewall/rules. Of course when I tried to access the smb share from another machine, I couldn''t. I fixed that quickly, no problem.

I just downloaded and installed the newest version of icecast. I have been using shout to stream my mp3's into icecast, and it worked ok except it kept stopping mid song and I'd have to hit the play button again on xmms to get it to work properly, but then a few minutes later it does the same thing. I downloaded ices to use instead of shout and now it won't load the playlist..?

is it true it's not possible to start or stop indvidual streams using icecast2+icegenerator(liveice,ezstream) combination? i've tried mp3 directory streaming as well as playlist streaming - it works, but with no possibility to see full mp3 file listing and play control (like choosing a song, starting, stopping play). Icecast can't even diferentiate /dev/dsp input from playlist input.
