Iceacst Statistical Relay
Hello, I am using an external streaming client, known as SAM Broadcaster, and I would like to set up a statistical relay to "get" or show the number of listeners. This does not seem to work with the information entered from my iceast details, does this server, icecast2 (2.4.3), not support statistical relay "get" info? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment

Icecast2 Station with multiple scheduled DJs?
At WXBH-LP we had a similar need, and we solved it using mpd (music player daemon) to coordinate our feed to icecast. mpd is a music player (supporting playlists, etc.) originally designed for local network streaming, but it has several attributes that make it suitable for other things: * Items in its playlists can be local audio files or remote streams (e.g. DJ streams). * It

relay icecast to shoutcast
Hello List Having great trouble relaying an icecast2 mp3 stream to a shoutcast server. My client program successfully streams to icecast which is listening on port 7000. I can listen to this stream with mozilla and xmms with no problems. I can also stream my client directly to the shoutcast server but it makes the client unstable (which is why i'm attempting a relay). The shoutcast server is

Fw: Updating MetaData at the Relay
I meant to send the message to the list but the default is to reply to the sender, which I find a big hassle. I know, I should being using a proper email client and not Outlook Express. > Now that 2.2.0 is out, we can update metadata on-the-fly. http://server.ip:port/admin?&mode=updinfo&song=ACDC-Back_In_Black This syntax is supported but it only shows up on the Icecast2 server

icecast2 per-mount overall listening statistics
Hi there! I don't know, if there have already been such a question, so that it is... I have icecast2 and 7 livestreams on it (by some reasons 6 darkices' mp3 and 1 ices2's ogg). By the given order I need to summarize the time each mount is listened for (for example, /mount1 is being listened by 3 listeners for 3 hours, than by 2 listeners for 1 hour and then by 1 listener for 2

Icecast2 Station with multiple scheduled DJs?
I have been playing with Icecast only for a couple of days, and I am trying to figure out how to do something. I want a listener to have to only deal with one stream, but I want to be able to switch the source of that stream between multiple sources (DJs). The core idea is that the listener only deals with /live.mp3 while in the background I can problematically switch between a series of live

multiple listeners
Hi Im using Icecast2 and SAM2 to broadcast a 56kb 24khz Stereo 2 Channel 6.Kb MP3 stream on a 512k ASDL connection. I know that the number of listeners will be LIMITED to 3 or so - is there any way I can actually calculate this ? I passed my broadcast link to a friend yesterday and they told me that they recieved a 'Server Full' error, is there something in the config that I need to

problem creating a systemd service
Hello! Icecast behaves oddly for me in debian testing, somehow the permissions on my log file directory was set to root:adm if I remember things right. Also there was no systemd service starting when I tried to start from /etc/init.d, somehow init services refer to systemd services nowadays whether they exist or not. I tried to create a systemd service looking like this: [Unit]

ices2 and Icecast2 on debian configuration question
Hi there, I have a Debian sarge 512 MB RAM machine with icecast2 and ices2 that I installed via aptitude. I have a 3MBit/s download and 800KBit/s upload link. I would like to configure icecast2 and ices2 properly. Here is my situation: 1)I have a dtdns address omac.darktech.org 2)icecast2 and ices2 on port 8000 would be fine. 3)I simply want to broadcast my 6 year old niece's voice which

Setting Up A Master-Slave Relay Problem
i can say more .. but what i've done is have ices/icecast run on the studio machine . i've got scripts to handle the start/stop of the show , and this then also triggers a single stream relayed to the main network . and this could be further altered to run a transcode session on the main server ( to create a lower quality ogg or mp3, etc ) (check out http://theDV8network.com , tho i

Troubles setting up Shoutcast relay
Hi ! Well what I basically want to do is set up a local relay in our company for some popular shoutcast radio streams available on the winamp.com main site. Right now like 10 or 20 ppl here are listening to basically the same two or three streams, so thats quite a waste of bandwith. So I thought there must be some kind of stream relay that would connect as client to the Shoutcast server and be a

Icecast mount points help
Hi Mark, Add extensions to all of your mountpoints for the appropriate audio codec/format you're using. For example, <mount-name>/test.opus</mount-name> for an Ogg/Opus stream. Don't forget to add extensions in the <fallback-mount> sections, too. I didn't look too closely at your config otherwise, that error was standing out. Cheers, Jordan P.S. Please

MP3 MetaData in WMP and RealOne
Did you really see meta-data? Or did it show data from the playlist- file? Or did you see the data (name and genre) provided in the http- header upon connect? E.g.: http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/shoutcast- playlist.pls?rn=4219&file=filename.pls Shows "CLUB 977 The 80s Channel (HIGH BANDWIDTH)" in WinAmp. But this is due to the "title" set in the .pls and/or provided in

icecast crash (segv)
Hi all, I'm experiencing a systematic crash with icecast2 when I goes in this case (tested with debian 2.3.1-5 2.3.1-6 and latest trunk) When there is more than ~1400 clients connected and a mountpoint that was not relaying goes online it crash. Without this I can go up to 5000 clients without problems. Changing the number of threadpool does'nt change anything. here is the term log:
