Winamp plugin skips?
In my cpu, with winamp2.7 and in_vorbis.dll(v0.1), the track skips at the end of the song...It's like it plays the last 1/10th of a sec twice... And it only happens when playing to to the system's sound card, that is, when i play it with winamp's disk_output plugin, the track is decoded correctly...
Has it happened to anyone yet? Coz i haven't seen anyone talking about it...

Strange results encoding with latest ffmpeg2theora-0.24 and playback on Directshow through Winamp
Hi Folks,
First, I would like to thank the eople in development who are doing so much to develope these great video and audio tools.
I use Ogg Vorbis to store most of my music projects in studio and the results are stunning. Quite frankly, in the audio file reduction game, nothing beats Ogg Vorbis and I can personally say this from my own experience. So a huge thank you to the team.

Setup of Winamp as a source
How does one set up Winamp as a source for Icecast.
I've already figured out how to use the line input for Winamp's input,
but I can't figure out which output plugin to use to feed the server.

Winamp plug-in
When using Winamp's diskwriter with the ogg plug-in v1.13 the
resulting wav files are only named 01, 02, etc. So the original names
are lost. I hope Peter can fix this.

Help recording from PCM stream and silence.
I need it to be able to take a stream of PCM data and encode it. Right
now it works if I am recording from a source (i.e. microphone or with
"what you hear") but when I try to use another API (Team Speak) to
capture the PCM data it doesn't seem to be encoding correctly. (I know
the PCM data is correct. I am able to use it to create a wav file.)
I'm also having a problem with

Winamp "send to" menu is missing
Hi everybody!
This is a problem that brakes my head in two.
I installed Winamp v 5.6 on Ubuntu 10.04, Wine v 1.2.2, and although it works ok, the submenu "send-to" doesn't appear. So I can't make file type conversions with Winamp.
I have read here http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18926 that the problem lies in the file comctl32.dll, so I tried copying it from a Windows

ogg_stream_flush
Hi,
While building an ogg-vorbis stream encoder, I encountered some problems
with silence in the audiostream.
The bitrate drops to almost zero, and pages going out less then ones a
minute what makes the stream to stop / buffer.
In earlier postings I read that I shout use ogg_stream_flush as an
alternative to ogg_stream_pageout, in case of silence.
My question is this; Is there any

WinAMP POS: mime types
The problem with WinAMP 3 is that it will accept only ogg
data with the old MIME type "application/x-ogg", but current
icecast sources emit the new and correct mime type
"application-ogg". WinAMP must reject the ogg data because
it didn't match the MIME type it expected, so yes, it just
sits there prebuffering, and prebuffering, and prebuffering...

Vorbis support in Winamp
I would like you guys to test the latest version of my plug-in:
http://www.blorp.com/~peter/zips/in_vorbis.zip
This one is considered the final version and there are no known bugs in it,
but you might be able to find some.
quick notes:
* HTTP seeking is as slow as hell, don't use it.
* UTF8 stuff should (finally) work correctly now.

PS. Better genre editor user IS being worked on.

That is correct.
Winamp 3 is broken, and will not correctly play Ogg streams.

[Flac-users] Winamp 2/Winamp 3 and FLAC plug-ins
I know that Winamp has its loyal following. I've never used it much. Also,
I'm a novice at computer music. I've always just bought CD's and never used
computer music. So perhaps I'm an idiot or just not very music-software
literate, but I so far haven't been impressed with Winamp, or the FLAC
plug-in. Just for one example, I've got a dual-Althlon MP 2000 system

timestamping / latency
Hi there,
for a streaming application developed for a project at the Society for
Arts and Technology Montreal, Canada, we would need to know the exact
delay of our ogg/vorbis streams.
It seems there are several factors that make up the total delay I get.
Is there a way to find out how large the delay introduced by the encoder
and decoder is? Or in other words, how many unprocessed samples

OddCastDSPv2 + Winamp 2.91 + SQRSoft crossfader
Hey Oddsock
I couldn't find your email address so sorry for posting to the list.
I know we've had a similar discussion in the past but I'm hoping
something can be arranged to solve this problem. I've just tried your
new OddCastv2 (for Winamp2) with the SQRSoft crossfader hoping that the
old problem had been overcome, however, it is much worse. Winamp simply
exits without any

Streaming Winamp to Icecast - can't seem to connect?
Hi,
newbie here....
I have SAM+Winamp set up and streaming ok to Shoutcast and Live365, but have
set up an icecast server on a FreeBSD box here - compiled ok and seems to
run ok. Well, It shows its running in logs and so on. althought the compile
didn't want to know about -pthreads -
Anyway, connecting to the stream with http://ip:port with Winamp - nothing?
I'm pretty sure I have the

Winamp icecast streaming broken?
Hi,
I have a few problems with Winamp 2.8. (I can't use or recommend Winamp3
because of all the various problems I've had with it. It seems that Ogg
streaming is broken on ports other than port 80. However, streaming in general
seems not to work correctly.
If I point the winamp client at an icecast or gnump3d server, it locates
the file or stream fine, buffers a bit, and starts
