MP3/OGG/The whole thing

It's the latest version I could find of ices0, that is - 0.2.3, with mp3 support. The patch I've done is not a patch for the real error, it justs forces ices

Problem with ices on OpenBSD 2.9 w/ Icecast 1.3.10
From: "Brendan Cully" <brendan@icecast.org> > Sorry Nick, I lost your last mail. One last thing, did you make clean > && make? The dependencies are not generated properly for ices, so even > if libshout got rebuilt it might not have been relinked. There's no other libshout on the system. Have rebuilt from scratch and it still exhibits the timing problems.

Crossfader for ices 0.3
FYI, I've added a crossfader to the ices0 trunk in subversion: http://svn.xiph.org/icecast/trunk/ices0 It requires LAME support (of course). To use it, either pass -C <secs> on the command line, or add a <Crossfade>secs</Crossfade> node to the Playlist section of the config file. Reencoding must also be enabled on your stream. NOTE: the crossfader can't resample, so all

compilling error ices-0.2.3 cvs
Brendan Cully wrote: >This particular error is because you used --with-libshout= instead of --with-libshout Is the above a typo. They look the same with the exception of the "=". I am new to linux so please be forgiving. I downloaded both ices and libshout. I tried to compile with "--with-shout-config=/etc/stream" but this returned the same result as in the previous email:

MP3/OGG/The whole thing
Hello all Icecasters! I'm using icecast 1.3.12 and iceS 0.2.3 (with a self-made patch for VBR MP3, and an extensive Perl script for automatisation) to stream radio. Works great! I've tried to understand everything about MP3/OGG and Icecast and since I'm a stupid person I need to draw things all the time ;) - so I need you to tell me if I've misunderstood anything in this scheme:

ices cvs crashing
Well, hi folks: I am still having this problem with ices crashing regularly. I have upgraded to todays cvs for ices and icecast hoping that would take care of it but no such luck. I am not sure just what is going on. It seems to happen fairly often which is not exactly making my listeners happy. I will include the relevant portion of the ices.log below. I would appreciate any suggestions

version confusion
Hello. I'm one of the maintainer of ices packages found at http://plf.zarb.org. I'm currently trying to rebuild the whole ice/icecast/libshout trilogy. However, i'm running into some troubles.

Icecast Problems Get Worse
Okay. It died again after about 4 hours. I will turn off the yp servers and see if that helps. Any other ideas? Same thing, BTW, ices reported a libshout error. libshout CVS update notice
Due to a minor reorganization of the CVS tree, cvs update of libshout will fail on the m4 directory. Either do a fresh checkout or remove your m4 directory and check out cvs.xiph.org:/usr/local/cvsroot m4 in its place. ices (0 and 2) and icecast may be going through the same process soon. I'll let you know when it happens. -b --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/
