Guide on icecast2-yellowpages - Version 0.1
Hmmm, grrr, via which link did you find it? I think there are several documents on the server I do not know about - simply because I didn't find them anywhere linked. Okay, forget all what I posted ... Icecast2 log and yp behaviour
Some of you may have seen my post to the vorbis list regarding the new Virgin Radio streams using Ogg Vorbis, ices2 and icecast2. Anyway, I have a couple of techy enquiries about the icecast2 server. Firstly, I want to rotate the icecast2 logs at midnight (i.e. create a new access.log file for each day). Normally I would expect to be able to move the existing log file and then send a killall

I hope so :) I'm not too good with C or anything like that, so the sourcecode would probably be a bit confusing.

Directory Listings
The default configuration file for icecast comes with a directory listing for oddsock, but not icecast.org or any others. How do I set up the xml file to list me on icecast.org. And on a related note, what other directorys can I list the server on? --thanks Michael Edwards http://www.walledcity.ca <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage:

How to complie Icecast2 on Win32
I'm new to this and I want to know what tools I will need and how to compile Icecast2. I have tried OddSock's port of the server but it appears to be out of date and it crashes my computer. The documentation included with the Alpha-1 release of Icecast2 says it will compile on Win32 but doesn't say how. --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project

yp dir
Hi All, Maybe a strange question, is there any info or maybe even an template for setting up an yp directory! The idea to set one up for local purpuses like: espescially dutch languages would be nice! Maybe an extra setting in the stream clients to also give in the language and maybe even country of orgin of the content could be any help with that, could be a nice extra search option too for

web stats and now playing
Hi once again, Does anyone have any info on getting such information into a website? If I can get the "now playing" raw info that would be great. Also, does anyone know of a directory server for icecast? I checked freshmeat but couldn't find what I was looking for. Thanks, Bryan --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage:

Clustering on the YP
In case anyone is interested, the YP I run now supports clustering of servers. The clustering is based off "Server Name" + "Listing IP"....currently, clustering of relays from multiple machines are not supported (unless they appear to be coming from the same IP)...This means if you are running multiple mountpoints on the same server, and your server name is the same for

New YP listing code in icecast2
I have just committed this code to CVS, and here is more information about it for those interested : - the spec that I went off of for the protocol can be found here -> http://www.oddsock.org/icecast2yp/spec.html - since icecast2 now needs to potentially connect out to yp servers for communication, libcurl has been added as a dependency...I used curl 7.9.8... - I also have currently

Where can I get a downloadable stream directory?
Hi, I?m working in an application that connects to Icecast servers. I assume that there is no legal issues regarding this because everything is free here. What I don?t know is how to get a stream directory. There is one at icecast.org, it?s OK to get it from there? Any other sources? Thanks. Regards Damian No virus found in this outgoing message.
