Directory Listings
That's a little odd, there are streams listed at yp.icecast.org... What's up with that? And of course my question on other directory servers still stands. --thanks Michael Edwards http://www.walledcity.ca >===== Original Message From Manuel Lora <vanguardist@cox.net> ===== >Icecast.org no longer hosts the yp directory. > >ml > > >On Saturday 05 April 2003

web stats and now playing
Hi once again, Does anyone have any info on getting such information into a website? If I can get the "now playing" raw info that would be great. Also, does anyone know of a directory server for icecast? I checked freshmeat but couldn't find what I was looking for. Clustering on the YP
In case anyone is interested, the YP I run now supports clustering of servers. The clustering is based off "Server Name" + "Listing IP"....currently, clustering of relays from multiple machines are not supported (unless they appear to be coming from the same IP)...This means if you are running multiple mountpoints on the same server, and your server name is the same for

I hope so :) I'm not too good with C or anything like that, so the sourcecode would probably be a bit confusing.

yp dir
Hi All, Maybe a strange question, is there any info or maybe even an template for setting up an yp directory! The idea to set one up for local purpuses like: espescially dutch languages would be nice! Maybe an extra setting in the stream clients to also give in the language and maybe even country of orgin of the content could be any help with that, could be a nice extra search option too for

Icecast2 log and yp behaviour
Some of you may have seen my post to the vorbis list regarding the new Virgin Radio streams using Ogg Vorbis, ices2 and icecast2. Anyway, I have a couple of techy enquiries about the icecast2 server. Firstly, I want to rotate the icecast2 logs at midnight (i.e. create a new access.log file for each day). Normally I would expect to be able to move the existing log file and then send a killall

YP listings - how, why, where...
Hi, My icecast2 config file includes <directory> <yp-url>http://www.oddsock.org/cgi-bin/yp-cgi</yp-url> </directory> but when I go to the oddsock YP, I can't find our stream anywhere. Am I doing something wrong, or is something more needed in the config? Thanks in advance. I'd also be grateful if you'd clarify which YP I *should* be using! Does it make any

Where can I get a downloadable stream directory?
Hi, I?m working in an application that connects to Icecast servers. I assume that there is no legal issues regarding this because everything is free here. What I don?t know is how to get a stream directory. There is one at icecast.org, it?s OK to get it from there? Any other sources? Thanks. Regards Damian No virus found in this outgoing message. Adding more to stats.xml WAS:Source XML for status.xsl
/me grumbles about upcoming finals: I note that the mountpoint entry displays the current songs title and artist, but not the album. In the particular case of my station, album is often more important (recognizable) as there are a variety of pop/classical artists who do music for anime. So I'd like to add an album nature but am going to need a quick overview on how stats.xml is generated.

iTunes 4

New YP listing code in icecast2
I have just committed this code to CVS, and here is more information about it for those interested : - the spec that I went off of for the protocol can be found here -> http://www.oddsock.org/icecast2yp/spec.html - since icecast2 now needs to potentially connect out to yp servers for communication, libcurl has been added as a dependency...I used curl 7.9.8... - I also have currently

Guide on icecast2-yellowpages - Version 0.1
Hi everybody, ince some people on this list have asked for further details on how to implement your own scripts for running a yellowpages-directory with icecast2 I've written a small guide on it (please see the textfile attached to this email). At the moment, surely, this is just an initial release. But hopefully it can serve as a basis for a documentation project on the icecast2-

I downloaded the latest through CVS last night and ran ./autogen.sh according to the manual and ran into the following error. Does anyone happen to have a fix for it? I am on FreeBSD 4.6 Stable. Thanks in advance, Till << ./autogen.sh output and error message >> elation# ./autogen.sh I am going to run
