for your help and patience.

cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@cvs.xiph.org:/cvs/ice login
pw:anoncvs
cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@cvs.xiph.org:/cvs/ice -z 9 co ices

Using icecast2 with MP3 problems
I've downloaded and compiled icecast from cvs and the ices-0.2.3 from
the download area for MP3 support.. (I'd use ogg, except I have 1000's
of mp3. I'll re-rip them, but not today) 8)
Is there a particular version of the icecast2 server that works w/ the
ices-0.2.3 I'm using? I'm having difficulty getting the two to
communicate.

Java Bindings
I've created a set of java bindings for the newest libshout 2.0
release. They work well and enable the streaming of mp3 and ogg/vorbis
to icecast2 servers from java. Binding with java allows for complex
java logic while using the fast, maintained and solid native backend.
They can be fetched from CVS via:
cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@benow.ca:/cvs/benow login

streaming both mp3 and ogg
hi all I use ices0.2.3/icecast1.3.12 on a linux box.
I stream mp3 .
I would like to make my listeners to discover ogg .
My tracks are all in mp3 format.
i reencode from 128/96 kbs and 44100Hz => 16kbs and 11kHz ( mp3 )
Is it possible , ( if yes tell me how ) to feed icecast with both mp3
and ogg stream , at different mount points .
how to configure ices to play ogg ? i know i'll have to

nothing to do.
This is my shell:
[root@obelix root]# cd /usr/src
[root@obelix src]# export
CVSROOT=:pserver:anoncvs@cvs.digium.com:/usr/cvsroot
[root@obelix src]# cvs login

More CVS trouble
Well after a week out for a training course, I'm back to trying
to check out the postbeta2_branch. so I do
cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@xiph.org:/usr/local/cvsroot co -r branch_postbeta2
vorbis
and everything is fine.
Trying
$ cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@xiph.org:/usr/local/cvsroot co -r branch_postbeta2
ogg
I get...

Re [ogg]
Hello:
I went to the archives of xiph and searched for ogg. I read through
about a hundred messages that are archived and still can't tell whether
icecast will stream ogg. Does anyone know what streaming server I should
set up to stream ogg/vorbis format (on a Linux OS)?
