Ah. You must be talking about icecast 1.x. I was talking about icecast2. What I said is not at all accurate for icecast 1.x, you should ignore it. > > how can i find out when a

icecast2 and static files
If you check this unofficial howto at http://quasi.ksl.com/icecast/ then you will find an example xml config file for ices which allows you to server static music files. However, you will need to remove the 'encoding' section of the file as on my system it would reencode on the fly as long as that section existed. --thanks Michael Edwards http://www.walledcity.ca >===== Original

Unofficial Icecast HOWTO posted
Howdy. I just posted an unofficial HOWTO on configuring icecast2 on a Linux or other UNIX machine. It's just a draft in DocBook format, but I was hoping it might help someone. I've worked enough with icecast over the past few years that I thought it time to share what I've learned. The URL is as follows: http://quasi.ksl.com/icecast/ I have older documentation in

fallen too far behind, removing
Hi, For some reason I see this in my logs: [2016-08-02 12:43:02] INFO source/send_to_listener Client 169 (127.0.0.1) has fallen too far behind, removing The more interesting is that it is the ffmpeg, that is listening to the source stream being removed. My setup is: Stream generator: DEVA TX, streaming 44,1 khz PCM (pcm16le) stream to icecast2 server Transcoding: VM with ffmpeg reading this

make giss.tv as slave
Hi all there. I am trying to set up an icecast2 server (wich is already running) to send some stream mount point to another server. I mean, my server is streaming at /radio1.mp3 mount point. We can listen it at http://myserver:8000/radio1.mp3; so, i want to know if is there any way to "clone" that strem and send it to another server, such as http://giss.tv:8000/radio1.mp3 I have been

i see that icecast retains song titles only when running in full debug mode (with DEBUG_FULL defined in icecast.h). is this observation correct? how can i find out when a new song is being streamed by a source? can i determine this accurately by examining song title (souce.info.streamtitle)? or, is there a more reliable method?
pls. let me know. thanks, deva
On Mon, 17 Feb
