relaying IceCast from ShoutCast
Hi; Has anyone successfully relayed an Icecast stream using Shoutcast? I realize that this is backwards! However, several organizations that want to use our streams use Shoutcast, I really don't want to setup shoutcast and Icecast, but unless I can relay an Icecast stream with Shoutcast, I'm going to have to. Relaying with Icecast - stand-by or active all the time?
You can set globally with the <relays-on-demand>1</relays-on-demand> in the global <icecast/> section, or you can configure per-relay with <on-demand>. You can find it in the sample config file. (Does not say much more.) Xabier Oneca_,,_ El 20/02/2013 08:39, "Satz Klauer" <satzklauer at googlemail.com> escribi?: > Thanks, but which parameter influences

close open relay
hi all, running centos 4.7 i686. I seem to have an o pen r elay sendmail server. How do I close it? I have the STRAIGHT centos install sendmail.mc file. Only thing I changed was: dnl DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA')dnl so as to allow incoming email and not just localhost. however this seems to relay everyone. I looked at http://www.sendmail.org/tips/relaying but it

Relaying with Icecast - stand-by or active all the time?
Hi All, Will this also bounce new connections to the relay server once the master server is maxed out? Relaying with Icecast - stand-by or active all the time?
The relaying-configuration seems to be straight-forward, unfortunately it does not work. That's my configuration: <relays-on-demand>1</relays-on-demand> <relay> <server>http://mp3stream7.apasf.apa.at</server> <port>8000</port> <mount>/</mount> <local-mount>/oe3.mp3</local-mount> <on-demand>1</on-demand>

Hello Satz, You can configure that behavior from the config file. Asterisk not relaying back the SIP response messages
HI all, I have the following setup running: EP<--->Calling Asterisk<--->Relaying Asterisk<--->Softswitch<---> PSTN The Endpoint EP is registered with the Calling Asterisk. Calls are forwarded from this machine to Relaying Asterisk which in turn forwards it to the Softswitch. In addition, this machine also relays back responses from the Softswitch to the Calling

Relays Ending With "Disconnecting source due to socket timeout"
Greetings: I use Icecast 2.4.0 on Windows 8.1. I have a config file which sets up roughly a dozen relays to connect on demand. My typical use is to connect to 1-4 of the streams simultaneously. All connections are either via WinAmp to 127.0.0.1 or via other clients on my LAN. My intent is to leave the connections active for up to 72 hours. When I connect through my relays, eventually the

Icecast relay as a source to another icecast?
I have a situation where I'd like to be able to have icecast reach out to another icecast server as a client. Is this possible with relaying? From what I read relaying and master relaying both have the server reach out to another server. The reason is this. I have a hardware encoder (Telos audioactive) sitting on a cablemodem. I have a remote provider (streamcheap or something) set to

relaying IceCast from ShoutCast
I've been thinking more about this. It would be really nice if Icecast could add a port to a mountpoint and emulate whatever information Shoutcast requests when it relays a shoutcast stream. This way Shoutcast could relay Icecast streams. Fred _____ From: Fred Black [mailto:fred@batanga.com] Sent: Monday, July 18, 2005 2:36 PM To: 'icecast' Subject: RE: [Icecast]

Relay authentication on kh-57
Is something broken here? I'm trying to do a test of relaying between two servers running kh-57. Automatically enable master relays on start?
Just a quick question: When I start up my (slave) relay it will get the list of relays from the master, However I have to click on each on and choose "click to enable" within /admin/managerelays.xsl Is there a node I can stick in the config to make it enable them by default? Say something like <master-enable>1</master-enable> I know there is <enable> in

icecast2 relaying question
I understand there are two types of relays in icecast2. The master relay which relays everything from a source and a point relay which relays a specific mount point from a source. I have a server which has 3 streams. I want to relay 2 of them. How can I do this? Can I define two relays and two mountpoints within the xml config file? Do i do this in the same relay tag: <relay>

Legality Issue & Relaying
Hi All, I'm planning to get a stream running in the next month or two, and will be using ices and icecast. Legality: Further to the last couple of posts regarding legality issue. I notice that the PRC do their licence cost on a percentage of your revenue, seeing as I plan to host no adverts or indeed any commercial aspect I hope to get a licence without actually paying anything.
